The organization of a New Year's feast at the dacha differs from the usual traditional preparation for the main family dinner of the year. But, despite the fact that instead of crystal glasses and vases, disposable dishes will be used, and barbecue and potatoes baked in a fire will be served instead of stuffed duck with apples, the holiday will not become less memorable and colorful.
Rather, on the contrary, the New Year at the dacha will become even more magical and fabulous, especially for the smallest participants in the festival, who will appreciate the fun and games in the snow, among colorful garlands, snowmen and Christmas trees, firecrackers and fireworks.
Dishes and accessories for the New Year's dacha
It makes no sense to bring expensive sets of dishes to the dacha, even if they wait for their benefit all year round, standing in the cupboards. Leave them there for another year until next time. For giving, the best option would be disposable plates, glasses and wine glasses. The only thing is that on New Year's Eve you can afford to splurge on more expensive sets of colored plastic and colorful, albeit paper, plates with New Year's symbols, instead of the usual cheap ones. You can also buy disposable forks and spoons, but choose prettier and better quality ones.
Particular attention should be paid to accessories - cocktail tubes with bright nozzles; colored canapé skewers; disposable foil dishes; napkins decorated with Christmas tree decorations; garland beads for decorating fruit dishes, paper and cardboard stands in the form of snowflakes, etc.
Participation of children in decorating a feast
Children can be connected to decorating the most common disposable tableware and feast in general by providing them with colored foil, glue and sparkles, beads and beads, felt-tip pens and pencils. The main thing is to explain to young artists in advance which part of a particular object needs to be decorated, so that in the end the plastic wine glasses and plates turn out to be beautiful and festive, but at the same time glitters do not become part of food and drinks.
Simple menu for giving
When drawing up a menu for a New Year's table in the country, all dishes can be initially divided into two parts:
* Brought with you
These are dishes prepared in advance at home or bought in a store, brought with you. These include - sliced salads without dressing (season with sauce before serving); Korean snacks (carrots, eggplant, squid, he fish, funchose, soy asparagus, seaweed, etc.); aspic; cheeses and sausages; canned food - olives, olives, capers, pickled asparagus; herring (in the summer cottage - peeled and chopped is the best fit).
It is better to replace cake and pastries with cookies, gingerbread cookies, sweets and chocolate.
In the same group, fruits - tangerines, oranges, apples, pears and others - are designed for a long shelf life and are not sensitive to transportation.
You should not buy fresh vegetables - tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, etc., as there is a worthy canned substitute for them in the country cellar.
* Cooked in the country
The second group of dishes for the New Year's table at the dacha are those prepared directly at the venue of the event and those that have been stored there since the summer season - i.e. blanks (pickled tomatoes and cucumbers, pickled milk mushrooms and canned butter, all kinds of lecho and snacks from bell peppers, eggplants, beans, etc.)
Also in the cellar of real summer residents there will always be potatoes.onions, carrots and beets, so there is no need to bring them from the city.
The best hot meat dish on the table will be any kind of kebabs - just meat (pre-marinated at home with onions in beer or mineral water; with ketchup or mayonnaise; in brine or soy sauce, etc.); fish and fish roe (herring or cod); chicken legs or wings (soaked in kefir or spicy marinade); lula kebab or pork fat.
Children will be happy to roast assorted shashliks from slices of bread and sausages, and later cook potatoes over coals. If for adults such dishes do not seem festive enough, then sausages can be replaced with slices of brisket, and ordinary bread - with garlic or onion loaf. Cut the potatoes into two parts in advance, cut out a little from the middle - add a piece of salted bacon or bacon there, and then, reuniting the halves, wrap the potatoes in foil and bury them in the coals of a fire (barbecue).
For the preparation of fruit drinks - lingonberries and honeysuckle frozen since summer, as well as jams from currants, blackberries and other berries, will be useful.
