Decorating the Christmas tree
Well, or another tree that can mimic this beauty on the site. Maybe you have other evergreen coniferous trees in your country house? Then we decorate them instead of a Christmas tree.
So, we chose a tree more centrally on the site - a Christmas tree, a thuja, a juniper, a pine tree, and we decorate it not with glass beating New Year's toys, but with tinsel, garlands, everything rustling, sparkling.
As an option for self-making Christmas tree decorations - favorite things of family members wrapped in foil - chess figures, small children's toys, balls of thread.
Decorate the tree with fresh tangerines, apples, tying strings to their stalks, sweets, large chocolate bars, ice cream in closed small glasses.
By the way, you can wrap the Christmas tree with an electric garland, and in the midst of the holiday, draw an electrical extension from the house to it. That will be fun on the site in front of the winter beauty.
Before entering the house
Decorated the most important New Year's guest, now you can start decorating the house. Let's start with his entrance. We decorate the entrance door with a Christmas wreath, or pine twigs, tinsel. If there is a veranda in the country, do not forget to decorate it with sparkling garlands. Only unlike the decorations at home, in the apartment, here, especially if the veranda is open, they need to be attached with a stapler to the surfaces or intercepted in some places with tape so that the wind does not scatter all the decorations around the summer cottage before the holiday begins.
Be sure to decorate the entrance in front of the country house with rowan bunches. According to Russian customs, they will remove damage from the house, improve its energy and give a good mood to everyone who enters the house.
From rowan berries, strung on threads, excellent garlands are obtained. Connect the children to this business, and you will have another original decoration for the entrance to the house. And then, during the winter, with great gratitude your garlands will peck at the birds wintering on the site.
Go to a gardening store. Most likely, before the New Year, New Year's decorations for the summer cottage, houses, verandas - figurines, and other installations will be sold there. You can get ideas for decorating your summer cottage there. For example, stick a large New Year's picture on top of metal sheets for installing them in the beds in the summer, which usually depict various fruits and vegetables. Then place such large postcards all over the site and in front of the entrance to the house.
LED lights can be installed along the path to the house. It's even more interesting to make them yourself again. For example, from a country pumpkin, like in Halloween. Cut out the pulp inside the pumpkin, cut into the skin of the "window", put the candle inside with the wick up, and light it inside at the right time before the guests arrive. It is also good (and around the site) to place such lanterns near the decorated Christmas tree. By the way, they can be made not only from pumpkin, but also from pineapples.
Surprise for guests
You can please your guests or relatives with interesting rituals and surprises. For example, hang coins wrapped in foil on one more tree in the garden on strings. On New Year's Eve, invite guests to pluck coins or cut them from a tree with scissors with their eyes closed. Whoever cuts more - the coming year will bring financial success and many happy days.
Presenting gifts in the country can be much more exciting than if it was in the apartment, when there is nowhere to put gifts but under the Christmas tree. Here you can think of giving gifts in the form of a game, in which, with the help of a map, a diagram, and tips, guests could look for surprises hidden in the most secret corners of the dacha and the suburban area.
Of course, you can decorate the dacha itself in the same way as decorating a city apartment before the New Year. There is nothing complicated here. But in such games you could play on New Year's Eve in the fresh air.
What to do during the holidays for guests at the dacha?
We divide into teams and sculpt from snow … just not a Snowman, but, for example, the animal that patronizes the year according to the Eastern calendar. The one who blinds more quickly and more beautifully is recognizable - that team won.

Make a mound of snow in the center of the site, on one side make steps and sprinkle them with sand, on the other, fill a hill with water. Let it be small, but it will be fun for everyone to ride in a noisy company. You can pour, if the site allows, a small skating rink on it, having previously leveled the snow on its surface.
