Aphids are one of the most widespread and at the same time the most malicious pests, and there are so many species of it that all of them cannot be accommodated in memory! Green aphids are brazenly walking along fruit trees and shrubs, black aphids have taken root on legumes, gelichris aphids are harmful to stone-fruit species, and cotton aphids are usually fierce on melons and cucumbers. And this, of course, is not all types of gluttonous insects, but all of them must be fought! Many summer residents try to fight these pests exclusively with folk remedies, and such means really allow you to achieve very good results! So what folk remedies will help in the fight against unceremonious aphids?

Spraying with soap and ash-soap solutions

This method of struggle can boast of extreme simplicity and affordability: such solutions are very simple to prepare, the acquisition of the ingredients included in their composition does not require serious costs, and improvised means like a grater (they usually rub laundry soap on it) and buckets can also be found in every home!

To prepare a soap solution, three hundred grams of laundry soap is taken for every ten liters of water, and it must be grated on a grater. However, in the absence of laundry soap at hand, it is quite permissible to replace it with ordinary liquid soap, but it is important to take into account that its consumption will be less - 125 ml for every ten liters of water. You can also use tar soap for these purposes - it will take only one hundred grams for ten liters of water.

And in order to get an ash-soap solution, a half-liter jar of pre-sifted furnace soot or plant ash is poured into a ten-liter bucket and, pouring this raw material with boiling water, thoroughly mixing it with a wooden stick and covering it with a lid, insist for a day. After this time, add 50-60 grams of grated laundry soap or exactly the same amount of remnants to the resulting composition and, after mixing everything thoroughly, let the solution stand for another day.

Herbal infusions for spraying

Garlic, onion, dandelion, chamomile, tobacco, sorrel, marigold, potato, citrus infusions, as well as pine and pepper infusions, are excellent help in the fight against aphids. To prepare a garlic infusion, two hundred grams of pre-chopped garlic heads are infused under a lid in a liter of water for four to five days. In the future, such an infusion is used as a solution, dissolving in every ten liters of water, 25 ml of the saving drug.

Onion infusion is also very easy to prepare: 30 - 35 grams of onion heads (they are also pre-crushed) are infused for five hours in one liter of water, after which they add four to five grams of laundry soap to the prepared composition, filter it and bring the volume of the infusion to one liter.

In the case of a dandelion infusion, 200 grams of roots and 400 grams of leaves of a flowering plant are taken for ten liters of water and insisted for about three to four hours, and to prepare chamomile infusion, one hundred grams of inflorescences and dry herb of chamomile are insisted in a liter of water for about twelve hours. And before spraying, one part of the infusion prepared by the above method is combined with three parts of water and soap (soap is taken at the rate of four grams for each liter of solution).

To prepare a tobacco infusion, two hundred grams of dry crushed tobacco leaves are diluted in five liters of water and insisted for two days, after which the total volume of the infusion is brought to ten liters and filtered.

To prepare sorrel infusion, horse sorrel roots in the amount of four hundred grams are poured with hot water and infused for about three hours, and to obtain a marigold infusion, half a bucket of well-chopped marigolds (along with flowers) are poured to the top with water and infused for two days. Then the infusion is filtered and forty grams of soap is added to it (per ten liters of water).

Potato infusion is obtained by infusing a kilogram of fresh potato tops in ten liters of water for three hours, and a citrus infusion by infusing one hundred grams of dry crusts from any citrus fruits filled with a liter of warm water for three days. To get a pine infusion, a kilogram of needles is infused in four liters of water for seven days, remembering to stir the “ripening” infusion about once a day (for spraying it is then diluted with water in a 1: 1 ratio). And for the preparation of pepper infusion, a kilogram of fresh hot pepper pods (or three hundred grams of dry) are insisted in ten liters of water for about a day. Further, for spraying, ten parts of water are taken for one part of the infusion.
