Some types of root crops, salad and spicy crops are sown in early summer. Consider what to plant in June for a quick harvest

Salad greens

Watercress, arugula, lettuce have a short growing season and are grown throughout the season. Regular sowing allows you to get several harvests of greens per season. So that there are no interruptions in the production of greens, sowing is carried out at intervals of 2 weeks.

Salad vegetables are harvested at any stage of growth. To get the maximum yield, when buying seeds, you should choose the right varieties. The purpose of the salad culture (summer, autumn, spring) is often indicated on the bags. Summer varieties of salads are adapted to the heat, with a lack of watering, the leaf does not taste bitter, does not lose its juiciness.

Dill

Conveyor growing of dill allows you to use young greens all summer. Sowing dill is carried out from April to September, with an interval of 10-15 days. I take into account the duration of seed germination (10-15 days), the "acceleration" technique is used.

Dill will sprout on the third day if you wash off the essential oil and wake up the seeds. Wrap the seeds in a cloth, prepare a bowl of cold water and a glass of boiling water. Sequential bathing of seeds is repeated 10-15 times: lowering in boiling water for 2-3 seconds and complete cooling. Then leave it in a damp cloth for 2 days. Sow dill in fertile soil, on such land the greens will be fragrant and juicy.

Spinach

Among garden products, spinach is the leader in the presence of magnesium, iron, potassium. An abundance of vitamins and micro- and macroelements are found in young leaves, as the bush grows, it loses some of its beneficial properties, the greens coarse and accumulate oxalic acid.

Collecting spinach begins when the plant has a fourth leaf, this is about 2-2.5 weeks from the moment of germination. At the peak of ripening (one month after germination), spinach has 10-12 leaves, after which the arrow is thrown out, the content of oxalic acid increases. After the appearance of the peduncle, the leaves are not eaten.

A vitamin bed with spinach is sown from March to July at intervals of 20-30 days. For repeated crops, fast-growing spinach varieties are used: Stoic, Matador, Krepysh. In early June, you can plant late-ripening Zhirnolistny and Victoria, these varieties grow longer (1, 5 months).

Turnip

The duration of ripening of turnips depends on the variety, it is 45-90 days. For June plantings, early, medium-early are used. When planning long-term storage, late species are sown. Popular turnip varieties in the middle lane: Petrovskaya-1, Namanganskaya, Kometa, Maiskaya Belaya, Milanskaya and non-shooting variety Belaya Nochka. All varieties can be divided into groups:

• the sweetest turnip: White Ball, Snow White, Golden Ball, Granddaughter;

• early ripening: Atlantic, May yellow-green-headed, Dedka, Milan red-headed, Glasha, Belaya Nochka;

• large-fruited: Milanese, White Night, Russian Size;

• salad dressing: Geisha, Primer, Tokyo Cross (early ripening 30-40 days);

• mid-season: Gribovskaya, Golden Ball, Snezhny Ball;

• late maturing with good keeping quality: Moon, Orbit, Nurse, Pull-Pull.

Beet

For winter storage and consumption of young fruits, beets are sown in June. Of the early varieties in the Moscow region, Boltardi, Bravo, Nohovski, Gribovskaya flat-473, Deytroyd ruby-3, Aya one-sprout, Egyptian flat, Libero are grown.

• Mid-season: Bordeaux, Pronto, Incomparable, Two-seed TSKHA, Borshchevaya, Valenta, Krasny Ice, Mashenka, Red Cloud, Khavskaya.

• Late ripening: Cylinder, Salad, One-sprout.

• The sweetest: Mulatto, Valenta, Mona, Incomparable, Bordeaux.

Onion

It is used for forcing feathers all summer long. In June, Bessonovsky, Rostovsky, Arzamassky onions are planted. These varieties are not prone to disease, give a juicy, tall feather. When buying heads, choose a diameter of 3-4 cm.

You need to plant a bow on a feather without intervals, close. 8-10 cm is left between the rows. Requirements for the land are minimal, watering and loosening of the row spacings is important. If there is a shortage of space in the garden, the feather can be driven out on vegetable beds paired with beets, carrots, etc. From the moment of planting to harvesting the green mass, it will take about a month and the land will be free.
