From 2 to 5 November 2017 at the address: Moscow, Tishinskaya Square, 1, the 10th International Specialized Exhibition - Sale "GRAND TEXTILE" will take place! With this exhibition, we confess our love to the majestic and refined world of textiles
Sergei Anatolyevich Glebushkin, a well-known collector and researcher of Russian folk costume in Russia, will present Russian traditional costume from his collection at the exhibition. His collection is one of the largest and most significant in the country. It includes costumes of the early 19th - 20th centuries, collected in ethnographic expeditions in different regions of Russia. Thanks to this collection, we see what women wore in Russia 100-150 years ago.
On Saturday 4 November at 13:00 Yana Belikova will give a lecture "Berlin embroidery: the history of style and technology"
At the lecture, you will take a fascinating journey into the world of ladies' needlework of the 19th century, get acquainted with the history and the process of creating the first color samples for embroidery with wool and beads, learn about the plots and symbols of Biedermeier embroidery, and see all the variety of old embroidered works. The story will be accompanied by a slideshow of rare old patterns and embroideries from private and museum collections.
Collector Irina Delich will showcase her selection of traditional antique Chinese textiles. You will learn about the symbolism of embroidery and traditional Chinese antique fabrics.
Artist and designer Anna Tolstikova will talk about the creation of author's scarves "Composition of a scarf - from idea to embodiment", using the example of scarves Anna Tolstikova, the creative association AGORApro.
Traditionally on Saturday we invite you to participate in the "Dress Day" project. Exciting master classes on needlework and creativity are also waiting for you.
