Windows for a country house - such a task sooner or later confronts everyone who is engaged in the construction of a country house. It seems that the choice of windows is a very simple task compared to all the others. However, in reality this is not at all the case. After all, windows should also meet a number of indicators and contribute to the establishment of a comfortable and calm atmosphere in your country house.

It should be noted that the degree of reliability of protection of window structures from various kinds of unfavorable influences from the outside seems to be important: from wind, rain and cold. In addition, windows should also serve as reliable protection against unwanted guests entering the house. The last point is the attractive appearance of the windows and full compliance with your aesthetic needs.

Wooden windows for a country house

Despite the fact that wooden windows were popular for a very long time, they remain very relevant to this day. If you have a small house in which you live exclusively in the warm season, then wooden pine windows will be the best solution in this case. Such windows have the lowest cost. However, their sealing can hardly be called optimal, which is why unwanted drafts and cold can penetrate into your home. Such wood will require quite careful maintenance; such windows may need to be tinted every season. If you come across poor quality wood, then such it will be very susceptible to cracking processes, which cause excessively bright sunlight and numerous precipitation. With careful and constant care, wooden windows will last more than fifteen years, but poor-quality wood and unscrupulous care can lead to the fact that after five years the windows will fail. At the same time, much also depends on the desired climatic conditions.

However, on the modern market, you can also purchase a ready-made version of a new generation of wooden windows. The basis of these windows will be glued laminated timber, which can be either two-layer or three-layer. This timber is made from northern pine or larch. As glass, such products use double-glazed windows or combinations consisting of glass and double-glazed windows. Such windows are called Finnish, Norwegian or French, it all depends on the country of production. Such windows also have one more type: the so-called aluminum-wooden windows, in this case the frame of the window block is an aluminum profile, decorative overlays made of wood are installed on top of the aluminum. At the same time, there is also the opposite option: aluminum plates and a wooden frame.

These windows are characterized by good quality, reliability and attractive appearance. These windows no longer have the drawbacks of conventional wooden models, thanks to the presence of reliable seals, the heat in the house will be retained for a very long time. Maintaining air exchange with the environment becomes possible thanks to the use of wood, the air will always change on time and there will be no feeling of a closed space. However, the cost of such windows will significantly exceed the standard wooden models.

Reinforced plastic windows for a country house

First of all, it is worth noting that such windows are durable, but they will need painting. Such windows will retain their original appearance for many decades, provided they are properly used and maintained. Reinforced-plastic window blocks are made using PVC profiles. For this reason, such windows are not exposed to the destructive effects of sunlight and various atmospheric influences. Thanks to this, metal-plastic windows will compare favorably with wooden ones. The sealing system is also at a high level, your home will be protected from various drafts and dust.

This option seems to be optimal when your house is made of quality materials and well insulated. For very warm weather conditions, three-chamber windows with double-glazed windows will be the best solution, but for colder areas, the installation of five-chamber windows will already be required.
