The flowering of hibiscus trifoliate falls on the period from June to October, and fruiting occurs in June-November. Under natural conditions, this plant can be found in Primorye and Amur Region of the Far East, as well as in the European part of Russia and in the Daurian region of Eastern Siberia, and besides this, also in the Caucasus, Central Asia and Moldova. In addition, trifoliate hibiscus can also be found in the following regions of Ukraine: Dnieper and Prichernomorsky, as well as in the south. As for the general distribution, the plant grows in southern Europe, China, Japan, Africa, Australia, America, the Balkans, Iran, Asia Minor, India, Tibet, Mongolia and Indochina.
For growth, this plant prefers steppe and desert slopes, rocky crushed stone habitats, as well as river valleys and lake shores on sandy and sandy-pebble shoals. It is noteworthy that the plant is sometimes also found as a weed in crops. Also, trifoliate hibiscus is a honey plant and is especially decorative.
Description of the medicinal properties of trifoliate hibiscus
The trifoliate hibiscus is endowed with rather valuable healing properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the herb, roots, leaves, fruits, seeds and bark of this plant. This plant is endowed with highly valuable antibiotic properties that target Staphylococcus aureus. An infusion made from the herb of this plant is used as a diuretic. It is noteworthy that the diuretic effect of the infusion, tincture and extract from the leaves of hibiscus trifoli was confirmed in the experiment.
