Create it at the rate of one hundred grams of water and three milliliters of peroxide. This mixture should be heated to forty degrees, after which the seeds should be soaked in it for ten minutes. A similar procedure is carried out just before sowing.

But this is not the only possible way to disinfect the planting material. However, to choose a certain method, you need to know the meaning and merits of each of them. These methods include stratification, heating, processing with special preparations.

When can eggplant be planted?

In principle, there are no specific and exact dates for sowing eggplants, since each region has a different climate and conditions, on which the planting time depends. It is not difficult to calculate the most comfortable time for planting a vegetable crop, because now there are a lot of methods that allow you to do this easily and quickly. This is very convenient, since in the case of early sowing, the seedlings can outgrow, and with late planting, favorable periods for the adaptation of the vegetable crop can be missed. The correct selection of the eggplant planting period will help to avoid a huge number of mistakes.

Soil preparation

There are some basic general rules for the maintenance of soil intended for growing eggplants. The earth in such a situation should be light and airy, loose, fertile, not very acidic. To do this, you need to take ordinary garden soil, add sand there. By the way, some summer residents not so long ago began to add vermiculite, which has recently become popular. Of course, other substances can be used as ingredients for soil, but it is important that the final standards for fertile soil are in accordance with the rules.

Choosing a container for planting

Many gardeners generally make containers for seedlings with their own hands, because various improvised means are suitable for this, for example, bags and boxes from milk, kefir and other products.

Sowing process

Planting eggplants is not very difficult if you know the important and basic points of how the procedure should be carried out most correctly. First you need to prepare containers for sowing vegetables and fill them with soil. Then the earth in the containers is moistened. It is interesting that melt water is very good for these purposes due to its crystal lattice and the short-term effect of cold temperature on the activation of the growth and development of culture, and also reduces the risk of many diseases. Of course, this method is only suitable for those regions where there is still snow on the street at the time of sowing the eggplant. In fact, this method is very effective, as the seedlings eventually become stronger and more resilient. It is also worth remembering that you can only use water from melted snow for non-germinated seeds, since otherwise the soil should have a temperature of twenty-five to twenty-eight degrees.

In each hole prepared for sowing eggplant, you need to put one seed, sprinkling it with a half-centimeter layer of soil. Then the soil also needs to be moistened. Next, the containers are covered with transparent film and placed in warm places. Until the seeds germinate, light and fresh air are not necessary for them.
