Despite the clean air, birdsong and spaciousness, it is not always possible to be outside at the dacha. The reason, most often, is one - weather conditions. In the rain and in the very heat on the street with a child, you will not particularly roam? What to do, what to do?

To do this, there are a lot of exciting things that you can do in the house. But there is one important note: the material for the games must be prepared in advance, even before leaving the house to the country. Although it will not take up much space.

So,

one of the ideas for doing in the house is the application of various cereals

To do this, we need a sheet of paper with a drawing outline, PVA glue, various cereals (rice, buckwheat, millet, semolina). Try to choose a drawing that is not very small, so that it is easier for the child to fill it with cereals. By the way, this is an excellent trainer for fine motor skills of hands.

If you want the picture to be colorful and bright, then you have to work a little more and paint the rice. In principle, this is not difficult and not very laborious, but the result is impressive. What do you need to color rice? Actually, the rice itself (they say that it is better to take a long one, it is stronger, but I also dyed regular, round, in applications I liked the round one more, it lays down smoother), food coloring and a little vinegar. Pour about half a glass of rice into the bag, add from a pinch to a teaspoon of dye (it only depends on what intensity the color you want to get, if light, then less dye, if dark, bright - then more). Shake the bag thoroughly until the dye is evenly distributed, then add a teaspoon of vinegar, mix everything thoroughly again. Put baking paper on a baking sheet and pour rice there, put in a preheated oven and dry. All is ready. You can mix several colors at once and send them to the oven at the same time, that's exactly what I do. For all comers, in the coming days I will make a rice painting master class. Of course, there are other ways to paint rice on the net, but I only write the one that I use myself. Important! Do not add a lot of vinegar, this will lead to the fact that, firstly, during drying in the kitchen there will be a sharp vinegar smell (believe me, the smell is unpleasant, I checked by accident), and secondly, any excess liquid will make the rice soft and brittle.

After the rice is dry, you can start creating, here there is a lot of room for imagination. For transportation and storage of rice, I use small jars of soft plasticine like play dogh. They are firmly closed and exclude the possibility of rashes and color mixing.

By the way, you can dye not only rice, but also millet. The dyeing principle is the same as that of rice, the only thing is that due to the fact that millet is not initially white in color, the final color will differ from the color scale of rice, in which the same dyes are used in exactly the same amount.

Appliques are not the only option for using dyed cereals. Another way to use cereals decoratively is to fill various jars and bottles with them, by analogy with all known colored sand. We take jars and bottles with a wide enough neck so that the child can easily pour the painted cereal into the container on his own.

At the beginning, the child will need a little help and explanation, but then the child will easily make "colored bottles" by himself, you just have to close the lid, screw it tightly, decorate the bottle with a ribbon and put it on the shelf. You yourself will notice how these colored bottles will perfectly fit into the interior and decorate it. And the child will get a lot of pleasure from the process.

In the next article, I will continue the theme of games in a country house.
