The construction of a country house - such a task can hardly be called simple, because in the very process of building a house you will have to face a lot of controversial issues that have to be resolved. In addition, after the construction of the summer cottage, everyone can safely consider himself a real connoisseur of construction.
The foundation for a country house
First of all, special attention is paid to the construction of the foundation for the future home. Before you start building the foundation, you need to decide what your future home will be like. A solid solid foundation will become essential for heavy brick houses. But for wooden buildings, a strip base will be quite sufficient, which should pass under the walls and some of the especially important supports.
So, having chosen the required type of foundation, you should start digging a foundation pit or a trench. It would be wrong to think that the strength of the foundation depends on the depth of the pit. In fact, this is not the case. The depth of the foundation, ideally, should exceed the depth of soil freezing by at least 30 centimeters, and the maximum by 40. Therefore, a hole with a depth of 1, 7 or 1, 8 meters will be quite sufficient.
When building a foundation, it should also be taken into account whether it is planned to bring communications, for example, a water supply. In the event that this is planned, then the outlets for the pipes will have to be taken care of in advance. The same applies to heating and sewerage.
The choice of material for building a house
Actually, it is this question that inevitably arises before all those who are going to build a house. The main choice in this case is between brick and wood. Each of these materials has a number of undoubted advantages, however, one cannot do without disadvantages either.
Of course, brick is the most practical and durable material. Brick is not subject to decay processes, it is practically not afraid of fires, compared to wood. In such a house, it will be much better to keep warm. However, it will also take longer to heat a brick country house. Therefore, if you are going to visit the dacha quite rarely, then you should choose a wooden house.
When choosing a house made of wood, it is possible to profitably save both on the foundation and on the interior decoration of the building, in principle, the inside of the house can only be sanded and varnished. Wood is also considered the most environmentally friendly material. In addition, the building itself will cost an order of magnitude cheaper than a brick house.
The choice of wood is also to be done carefully. They say that those boards that were cut in the winter are much better than those that were cut in the summer. However, until the boards get to the construction site of the house, the whole difference can be quite insignificant. Therefore, it is more important to focus exclusively on the quality of the wood. This can be defined as follows: hit the opposite end of the wood with something made of metal, if the sound of the blow is heard, this indicates the high quality of the log. Otherwise, the log will be rotten.
Heating and sewerage in the country
Heating and sewerage issues also have to be given a lot of attention. Climatic conditions in most regions still require some kind of heating. The easiest option would be to install a stove, but many gardeners prefer fireplaces, because they can significantly diversify the interior of the house, bringing in it a bit of comfort and warmth of the hearth. However, fireplaces keep heat only when they are on, so such a tool is more likely to meet aesthetic preferences than practical ones. Of course, you can install regular batteries as well, but this is quite expensive. If you are going to spend a lot of time in a country house, then this option will be optimal. Then you should take a closer look at the choice of the number of batteries and pipes. In addition, the use of bottled gas is also permissible, but one must be prepared for periodic replacement of such cylinders.
