Cyanosis blue is easily propagated by seeds, dividing adult bushes, cuttings. If it is not possible to purchase planting material, try to grow it yourself from purchased seeds. Let's take a closer look at the breeding technology

Seed method

Cyanosis seeds require mandatory stratification. The seeds are sown in different ways:

• in the fall under the snow;

• at home in bowls;

• early spring to the beds.

Let's consider the distinctive features of each method.

Winter sowing

Before frost, the beds are prepared for sowing. Dig up the soil with the addition of humus, carefully selecting the roots of the weeds. The surface is leveled with a rake, arcs are installed. Grooves are cut with a depth of 0.3 cm.

A week before the onset of stable subzero temperatures, the seeds are distributed in the garden. Sprinkle with humus. Rows are compacted by hand. Leave in this form until spring.

Home cultivation

When sowing at home, prepare a mixture of peat (humus), garden soil, sand in a ratio of 2: 1: 0, 5. Mix thoroughly, achieving a homogeneous mass. Drainage holes are pierced in the box, installed in the pallet.

The soil is poured, compacted from above. Cut grooves with a depth of 0.3 cm. Spill with a solution of potassium permanganate. Distribute the grains in a row. Sprinkle with soil, compact by hand, cover with foil.

Put in the refrigerator for 1, 5-2 months for stratification (bottom shelf). They monitor the moisture content of the earth, preventing it from drying out. At the beginning of March, they take out the containers and set them on the windowsill.

After 15-20 days, the first seedlings appear. Gradually open the film over two weeks, accustoming the plants to the dry air of the room. Watered with a weak solution of potassium permanganate. A month later, they feed them with Kemir complex fertilizer. At the beginning of May, they are planted on the ridges prepared in the fall under the film or in June after the end of night frosts immediately to a permanent place in a flower garden.

Sowing in spring

You can exclude the home growing phase. In early spring, after the snow melts, the soil surface is loosened with a rake. Install arcs. Seeds are sown in the grooves. There is no need to water the soil at this time, it is quite wet. Cover with soil, compact the rows by hand. Stretch the film through the arcs.

Night frosts will create the conditions necessary for stratification. The seeds will sprout at a convenient time for themselves. There is no need to accustom plants to outdoor conditions, in contrast to home crops. Water the "young" under the film once every 1, 5-2 weeks.

The first season of the plant grows the root system, vegetative mass. Seedlings bloom in the second year. At the age of three, the bushes turn into gorgeous beauties with powerful bunches of heavenly bells.

Some gardeners argue that cyanosis gives abundant self-seeding on the site. For 3 years of cultivation of this culture, such a phenomenon was not observed. Only the number of peduncles increases.

Division of bushes

The division of adult five-year-old bushes is carried out in early spring before bud germination. Dig up the plant completely, trying to disturb the roots less. Cut with a sharp instrument into fragments with a good root system, 2-3 buds, growth buds. The sections are sprinkled with ash. Planted immediately to a permanent place.

The vegetative method helps to rejuvenate old bushes. They quickly build up vegetative mass. After 2-3 years, they reach their original size.

Cuttings

Experienced gardeners use the cuttings method to quickly increase planting material. At the beginning of summer, the top of the stem, 10 cm long, which has grown from root buds, is cut off.

The lower oblique cut is powdered with root. They are planted in a bed with a loose nutritious soil, deepening by 5 cm. Watered with a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Cover through arcs with foil or separate plastic bottles.

Regularly water the plantings with water, preventing the topsoil from drying out. Weeds are removed in a timely manner. After a month, the rooted cuttings start to grow.

They gradually remove the shelter, allowing the cyanosis to get used to the open air conditions. Leave to winter in the cuttings. Transplanted to a permanent place next spring.

Planting technology, ways to care for cyanosis will be considered in the next article.
