Sewerage of a country house - in modern realities, such a problem takes on especially striking features. It is impossible to imagine a single country house that is not equipped with a sewerage system. Actually, the presence of this system has long been a matter of prime necessity.

First of all, it should be noted that outside the city there are two main types of signaling: connected to the general network of the entire dacha village, or only local. The local system is installed separately for one house.

In this article, we will consider all the main sewer options that can be installed in a country house.

Cesspools

A cesspool will be the simplest and most affordable option. When you have a limited time or funds, this option seems to be the most optimal. Wastewater will flow into the cesspool through a pipe. Water will be filtered into the soil, and only solid impurities will remain in the pit itself. It is worth noting that this pit will take a very long time to fill, after which the pit itself should be emptied. However, this option has a rather impressive number of disadvantages. In this case, the main advantage will be only low cost and ease of installation.

The disadvantages include great care in water consumption, so that it is very moderate. The area may be dirty and an unpleasant odor may occur. If there is dense soil in your summer cottage, then such a sewage system will not work. At the same time, in the case of choosing a cesspool, it is impossible to install a well or a well for drinking water on the site.

Storage capacity

Storage tanks are often used in summer cottages. This option is a clean cesspool with short periods between cleanings. However, the main disadvantages include a significant limitation in water consumption and the need to clean the tank at least once a month. Among the advantages, one can single out the possibility of placing it underground and the impossibility of the occurrence of pollution at the suburban area itself.

Mechanical septic tank

This sewerage option is based on wastewater filtration. This option is optimal for those soils where groundwater is deep enough. Actually, this option will be beneficial for those houses where there is continuous wastewater processing. The system will consist of two to four sections. Each of these sections is focused on its own level of wastewater treatment. Of course, the more sections, the cleaner the water will be in the end.

Among the advantages of mechanical septic tanks, first of all, the rather budgetary cost and simplicity of the device itself should be highlighted. Also, this option will not lead to the spread of an unpleasant odor and will not allow the site to be polluted; a mechanical septic tank can be located hidden.

However, it will also become necessary to replace the soil from time to time, and every year the system will have to be carefully inspected.

Biological treatment facilities

Biological treatment seems to be optimal for centralized sewerage of country houses. This option is the most effective, in essence it is very similar to a mechanical septic tank, with the difference that this system will be supplemented with a biofilter and aeration tank. Actually, thanks to the presence of such devices, the water obtained at the outlet will be discharged into reservoirs.

The main advantages are almost one hundred percent cleaning level and a long service life. The amount of non-degradable waste will also be minimal, and there will be no unpleasant odor at all.

However, the biological treatment system will be the most expensive in terms of its cost. Nevertheless, due to the long service life and ease of use, such expenses will definitely pay off.
