Once, in the fall, I happened to visit a garden. We slowly wandered with the hostess, seeing her sights. The bulk of the crop was collected in the bins. On the trees were scarlet varieties of late apples. Unusually large boletus mushrooms grew on the ground under their shade. It turned out to be a decorative pumpkin. This is how I first got acquainted with the "miracle vegetable"

Original crafts

Original crafts are made from decorative pumpkins. The peel of most varieties is thick, there is little pulp. After harvesting, the fruits are dried in the shade. In fleshy specimens, the lid is cut off, the pulp is removed. After painting, burning or carving, the products are varnished. Sometimes, you look at such a work of art, and it is hard to believe that this is an ordinary pumpkin.

Craftsmen make chic vases from it, stands for floor lamps, fruit baskets, boxes, candlesticks. Such beauty will organically fit into the decoration of the festive table, amaze guests.

Looks great in rustic kitchen designs. My friend decorates the space between wooden transoms in winter. In old houses, the inner second frames are made separately. They are inserted for the winter; in the summer they are put away for storage. A gap of 15 cm is obtained between them.

Cotton wool is placed on the windowsill (it can be replaced with plain colored rags). Boletus pumpkins are placed on top. Even without additional processing, they look very beautiful in winter, creating a fabulous picture of a summer forest.

Landscape design

Several directions are used to decorate the site:

• mushroom forms - the lower tier of shrubs, trees;

• bush species for flowerpots.

If you want to close yourself off from your neighbors with a dense fence, it is not necessary to fence in iron sheets for this. It is enough to pull the mesh netting, plant decorative pumpkin bushes next to it. Soon she will fill the space given to her with powerful leaves, large flowers, after pollination with unusual bright fruits.

Orange specimens in the form of pear-shaped lanterns look original on the walls of the gazebo. Backlit by small bulbs in the dark, they look like real ones.

Vertical structures of a triangular shape, covered with a mesh with a large mesh, will help create an unusual "herringbone" among the lawn. They choose varieties with small multi-colored fruits that look like glass toys. They are planted at the foot of the pyramid, the lashes are sent up the net. At the top, the stems protruding beyond the structure are pinched.

Under the canopy of trees, shrubs, mushroom forms are located. In autumn, the greens will turn slightly yellow, dry up, then an unprecedented harvest of a forest fairy tale will open to your eyes. From a distance from the original, they are practically indistinguishable. Until the very frost such "mushrooms" can show off in the garden.

Shrub forms are planted in large flowerpots. Placed along the paths, next to benches in resting places, on terraces, they will perfectly fit into the environment and give a special charm to the composition.

If desired, they decorate balconies with unusual varieties. Then a delicious delicacy will always be at hand. The main condition is to provide sufficient lighting.
