Electronics captured everyone in the current network. Modern technology and gadgets hold humanity in a strong grip. And it seems that there is no way back. But! Today we will give up the refrigerator, and at the same time we will not let all food supplies go to waste. It may surprise someone, but food can be stored without special electrical appliances. After all, our grandparents did that. By the way, there is nothing complicated about it. You need to know a few rules, or rather, how and the main thing is where (if not in the refrigerator) to store food

"Babushkin" method

In winter, it is much easier to give up electronic cold. There is a natural freezer outside every window - store everything you need. In warmer times, it is more difficult, but not impossible. Judge for yourself.

Let's start with dairy products. Saving them is not that hard. All you need is a large basin, cold water and a towel. In a container with water (this same basin) we put dishes with milk, cover with a towel (dishes with contents), and lower the ends of the fabric into water. The products are kept at a lower temperature due to the evaporation of water. Butter is stored in almost the same way, only the product must be tightly packed (in a jar, for example), and the water must be salted. Do not forget that it is advisable to change the liquid every day.

For a long time, fish can also be kept without a refrigerator. But first, gut it and rub it liberally with salt. Then wrap it in paper and let the food wait in the wings.

In order not to spoil the meat - just fill it with milk. It will not let air into the product, and the decay process cannot begin. Boiling water works by the same principle. Therefore, the meat can be poured over them. In addition, eggs can also be saved from rotting. Dip them in hot water for 3-4 seconds.

It is interesting that there is also a "old-fashioned" storage method. That's just for this method you need a well and a bucket (which is not difficult to find in the country). Place the product in a container and submerge it in the water up to half of the bucket. As you can see, nothing complicated.

Nature will help

As we already said, winter is one of the best natural refrigerators, but now we will talk about what will be useful to you all year round.

The next method is perfect for those who are at the dacha from April to the end of June. At this time, the earth is still cold, which is what we need.

Dig a barrel or bucket into the ground (if there are not so many products), but always in a dark place and away from drain and compost pits. It happens that getting rid of the sun is not so easy, then pull on a trend. Anything can be stored in such a cellar. Just make sure that the container is intact, otherwise groundwater will get there.

If your garden has a body of water, you can turn it into a refrigerator in both summer and winter. To do this, place the food in airtight containers and in a large bag, and then secure it on the shore with a bitch or heavy stone. The only drawback of this method is that your products may float away. Therefore, it is not necessary to store this method for long and only in emergency cases.

With your own hands

Probably the most logical way to use a cooler bag. But we have abandoned modern refrigeration devices, and this device is exactly what we consider, and therefore, let's say "no!"

Let's discard the finished device, but not the idea. Let's do such a thing with our own hands. We'll need any bag with a top zip, double-sided tape (wide), polyethylene (10mm thick), and empty plastic bottles.

Let's make it ourselves? We make a container from the insulation, which is 5 centimeters less than the bag. We measure the bottom, walls and lid. All clippings must be glued together with tape (tightly and several times) to get a square or rectangle (the container itself). We attach the lid to the body of an almost finished bag.

Then paste all this into the bag (again, using scotch tape), and the empty spaces (if they remain, fill with foam rubber).

After that, plastic bottles will be used. They need to be filled with saline solution. It is easy to make: dilute 6 tablespoons of salt in a liter of water. Send it to the freezer. When the solution in the bottle freezes, place them on the bottom of the container, place the food (which needs to be stored) on them. The bag is ready.

Maybe electronics has captured us in a not-so-strong grip?
