The summer season is in full swing, on weekends many townspeople, especially families with children, strive to leave the dusty stuffy stone city and relax in nature, breathe fresh air. Someone plans to just lie in a hammock and relax, someone will be happy to take care of the beds, and someone will have to puzzle over what to do and entertain the children. Here's a fun, interesting and useful idea for you
We decorate the dacha with herbal eco-zones. Well, or you can just use herbal flowerpots. The advantages of this pastime are that the child is busy, watching the plants, learning to be responsible, and even at the same time, the grass plants serve as an excellent decoration for both the country yard and the country house.
Training
To grow herbs, you will need to do a little preparatory work and purchase some necessary things. First, small original pots, such as these:
In addition, you can take just a deep plate-bowl, flower pot, the choice completely depends on your wishes, interior and imagination.
Sawdust is usually used as a filler, since they perfectly retain moisture, and grain or seeds of any lawn grass. But since we will not pour the mixture into a nylon bag, but into a pot, I recommend making a mixture from purchased land (peat), sawdust and seeds (grains).
The choice of seeds depends on what you want to see in your greenery. For example, lawn grass is thin, silky, rich green. The seed sprouts are soft, bright green and much larger than lawn grass. I often use flower mat seeds instead of standard seeds and grains, it looks unusually beautiful. Preliminary preparations have been completed. We will continue our work at the dacha with the children. What do we do?
Landing
Mix the soil and sawdust with the child (children) in approximately equal proportions (you can simply pour sawdust into a pot or bowl), pour it into a pot, leaving a little for filling the seeds. Spread the seeds evenly on top, pour the remnants of sawdust or mixture on them, pour water over them. We put in the right place. Most importantly, this place should be easily accessible for the child, so that he can independently water and monitor if necessary.
Growing
After about 3-4 days, the first shoots will appear, and after 10 days it will be possible to cut our flowerpot for the first time. If you planted grass flowers, then flowering should be expected no earlier than 20-30 days. Don't forget to water your flowerpots and pots as needed!
Herbs from nylon tights
There is a more economical and simpler way to make herbal. By the way, you can make it together with your child. A bag is made of old nylon tights, closed on one side and open on the other. We fill this bag with a handful of grains or lawn grass seeds, then add sawdust to the full bag, while tamping them well and thoroughly. Sew up the bag, forming a ball.
You can draw eyes and a mouth on the ball, you get a bun from a fairy tale. And the grown weed will be his hair.
We soak our grass in a deep container with water for a day so that it is well saturated with water, then we take it out and put it on a plate. The part with the seeds must be at the top! Do not forget that the grass must be constantly wet, so it needs almost daily watering. The "hair" of the kolobok will begin to grow in 2-3 days, it will be possible to cut it in a week or 10 days.
By the way, for such a kolobok it is better to use lawn grass seeds, as their leaf is thin and resilient, so it easily crawls into the nylon mesh.
