A wooden fence - the value of a fence for a summer cottage is difficult to overestimate. A durable and reliable fence can be safely called a daily necessity. However, the main characteristic of the fence should be, first of all, reliable protection against unwanted intrusions.

A lot of summer residents are engaged in an independent fence device. In this case, a tree can be called the optimal solution. This material will not be very expensive, and the construction process itself will also not require special labor. Of course, an easier way will be to build a fence from a chain-link mesh, but in this case, your site will be visible to all neighbors.

The construction of such a fence will not seem overly difficult, while you will need a minimum amount of costs for repairing such a structure in the future.

Stages of construction of a wooden fence

First of all, you should decide on the place where the fence will be located. After that, you need to take pre-prepared wooden pegs, which need to be sharpened. These pegs should be hammered along the entire perimeter, the distance between them can vary significantly, however, most summer residents choose a size of two meters. The stakes must be looped with twine, which is tightly pulled over the stakes.

After that, you should decide on such a value as the height of the fence. It is not recommended to erect an excessively high fence, because in this case it will be able to shade those landings that are in the immediate vicinity of it. However, the fence should not be very low, otherwise your life at the summer cottage will be in full view of all neighbors and people who are just passing by. Usually summer residents give preference to a fence height of two meters, this value is average and most optimal. So, boards of the required length must be processed on a grinding machine, however, in this case, a standard electric drill equipped with a special grinding attachment is also suitable. If you need a profile of some unusual shape, then in this case you will have to cut the boards. Of course, you can always buy fully prepared boards, but such materials will cost you much more. It is for the sake of such savings that many summer residents prefer untreated edged boards.

After that, you have to remove the pegs, and where the holes remain, you will need to drill wells. The depth of these wells should be at least fifty centimeters. In this case, a hand-held drill or an electric drill will suit you.

Next, you have to dig in the supports into the ground, which were prepared in advance. The cross-section of the beams can be different, it all depends on each specific case. The bars have to be installed vertically, a plumb line will help with this. The wells are backfilled with earth, which is carefully tamped. To give the structure even greater strength, it will be necessary to cement and concrete the supports. Considerable attention should be paid to the strength of the supports so that your fence will serve you for a long time.

After that, you have to hammer in a nail on top of each of the bars. All the bars are pulled together with a very tight rope. All these actions are responsible for ensuring that the fence is the same in height. After that, it is necessary to proceed with the so-called transverse fastening of the fence.

On the screws, you will need to nail and plant the boards that were prepared in advance. Many people prefer a "blank" fence, boards are nailed end-to-end. In some cases, you can leave a distance between such boards, while it is even permissible to use thin strips with a minimum section. Actually, after carrying out all these operations, your fence is completely ready. Now all that remains is to paint the fence, in this case, frost-resistant acrylic paint can be called the best solution. The wooden fence also seems to be an excellent field for experimenting with decor.
