The underwater leaves are colored in light green tones, they are very delicate and translucent, and also pointed. The length of such leaves can reach up to twenty-five centimeters. Floating leaves, in turn, are painted in dark green tones, they are elliptical in shape, but sometimes they can also be arrow-shaped. The peak of decorativeness falls on the entire season, which in particular should be attributed to the flowering period of this plant. Flowering arrowhead floating begins in July and ends in August. The flowers of this plant are painted in pale white tones. Most often, the flowers are solitary and small, and also endowed with yellow anthers.
Description of the features of the care and cultivation of a floating arrowhead
It is recommended to plant this plant in containers, and the planting depth should be about twenty to thirty centimeters. The soil for the favorable development of this plant will require silty. With regard to the degree of winter hardiness, it is very good. In winter, it is recommended to place the container with this plant below the freezing level of the water.
Reproduction of the floating arrowhead can occur both through seeds and by dividing the bush. Vegetative propagation of this plant occurs by dividing the rhizome, which should be done in the summer. Reproduction can also occur by rooting daughter rosettes, which should be done after the flowering arrowhead floating. It is recommended to root such sockets in a mixture of sand and silt, while the water level should be no more than ten centimeters. After the appearance of floating leaves, the water level should be raised to about twenty to thirty centimeters. As for the use of this plant, the floating arrowhead will look great in any bodies of water in which there is stagnant water. With proper care, this plant will delight its owner for a long time with its attractive appearance.
