Russian solyanka is known by the following popular names: salted grass, potash, ash pan and kurai. Solyanka Russian is an annual weed, the height of which will fluctuate between twenty and eighty centimeters. The stems of this plant are spread out, for this reason, with fruits, the plant will be endowed with a spherical tumbleweed. The leaves of the Russian hodgepodge will be linear and they are endowed with a thorny base. The flowers are quite small in size, they will be solitary and endowed with a simple perianth, are five-membered and are in a spike-shaped inflorescence. The fruits of this plant are winged nuts, which in turn will be endowed with shiny pinkish wings. It should be noted that by autumn the Russian hodgepodge becomes a very thorny plant.

Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Caucasus, Ukraine, the European part of Russia, Moldova and Belarus. As for the general distribution, Russian hodgepodge can be found in Asia Minor and Western Europe.

Description of the medicinal properties of Russian solyanka

Solyanka Russian is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. Grass includes leaves, stems and flowers. The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of a polysaccharide carbohydrate in the composition of this plant, which, upon hydrolysis, will give xylose, arabinose, galactose, rhamnose, amino sugar and galacturonic acids, and also contains betaine, alkaloids, saponins and organic acids succinic and oxalic. In the seeds of Russian hodgepodge, in turn, fatty oil was found, while flavonoids, alkaloids and samsolin will be present in the aerial part.

As for traditional medicine, here this plant is very widespread. An aqueous infusion based on Russian hodgepodge is indicated for use in case of general weakness of the body, and is also used as an antihelminthic, diaphoretic and mild laxative. It is noteworthy that the fatty oil of the seeds of this plant turned out to be suitable for the paint and varnish industry, as well as for cooking drying oil.

To prepare a very effective aqueous infusion based on Russian hodgepodge, which is used for general weakness of the body, you will need the following: one tablespoon of chopped herb of this plant is taken for about three hundred milliliters of boiling water. The resulting drug mixture should first be left to infuse for about two hours, after which this mixture must be very thoroughly filtered. The resulting drug is taken on the basis of Russian hodgepodge, not only with general weakness of the body, but also at elevated temperatures. For this, a healing agent based on this plant is drunk twice a day, regardless of the meal, one tablespoon each.

With a poor appetite, it is recommended to use the following very effective healing agent based on this plant: to prepare such a medicine, you will need to take one tablespoon of chopped dry herb of Russian solyanka per one glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture is first left to infuse for two hours, after which this medicinal mixture must be very thoroughly filtered. Such a drug is taken three times a day before the start of a meal, one or two tablespoons.
