Point saltwater is one of the plants of the family called Aster or Compositae, in Latin the name of this plant will sound as follows: Galatella punctata (Waldst. et Kit.) Nees (Aster punctatus Waldst. et Kit.). As for the name of the dotted saltwort family itself, then in Latin it will be: Asteraceae Dumort. (Compositae Giseke).

Description of the point saltwort

The dotted saltwort is a perennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between one hundred and twenty and one hundred and twenty-five centimeters. The stem of this plant is rough, its leaves can be both linear-lanceolate and linear. The length of such leaves will be about ten centimeters, the leaves will be sessile and they are endowed with three veins. The inflorescence of the pinpoint solonetite is rather thick and corymbose in shape, the basket will be conical, and its length will be about seven to twelve millimeters. The leaves of the wrapper of this plant are painted in greenish tones, they will be sharp, endowed with a fringed edge, lanceolate or oblong in shape. False-tongue flowers are painted in purple tones, there are only about five to ten of them, and the tubular flowers are endowed with a pale yellow color. The achenes of this plant will be hairy, their length reaches four and a half millimeters, while the crest may be equal to or slightly longer than the achene.

Blossoming of pinpoint solonetz occurs in the summer and autumn periods. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Caucasus, Moldova, Central Asia, the Black Sea and Dnieper regions of Ukraine, as well as the Altai, Irtysh and Verkhnetobolsk regions of Western Siberia. For growth, the point solonetnik prefers steppe slopes, forests, glades, places among shrubs, floodplain and tall grass meadows up to the mid-mountain belt.

Description of the medicinal properties of point saltwort

The point saltwort is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. Grass includes flowers, stems and leaves. The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the content of triterpene alkaloids and saponins in the composition of this plant.

In Siberia, pinpoint salt is quite widely used for medicinal purposes: here an infusion prepared on the basis of the herb of this plant is indicated for use in myositis and various gastrointestinal diseases.

It is important to note the fact that in order to achieve the greatest efficiency when taking a drug based on this plant, it will be necessary not only to strictly follow all the rules for the preparation of this remedy based on a point solonet, but also to carefully follow all the rules for taking such a drug.
