From 4 to 22 November 2016, the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall will host the multimedia exhibition RUSSIA - MY HISTORY. 1945–2016 " The 2016 exposition is the fourth and final one in the cycle of historical exhibitions "Russia - My History", prepared by the Patriarchal Council for Culture

The previous expositions - "Rurikovichs", "Romanovs", "From Great Upheavals to the Great Victory" - were greeted with extraordinary interest by the audience. Suffice it to say that these expositions were attended by more than two million visitors, and seventy percent of them are young people. The secret of success lies in the fact that the authors managed to tell about our story in an unconventional, unusually exciting way, and most importantly, each visitor could suddenly feel himself a part of his own, the path of a contradictory, sometimes tragic, but dear and great story. It is in such a lively feeling of special, inseparable involvement that the origins of love for the Motherland lie.

The centuries-old experience accumulated by our people has formed in it the qualities that allow - often not thanks to, but in spite of political courses and decisions - to multiply and preserve the most important national features: the desire for Truth, the willingness to defend the highest values, self-sacrifice, a heightened sense of justice, kindness and compassion, brotherhood and straightforwardness, responsiveness and breadth of character.

The current exhibition will highlight an unusually dramatic historical period in which most of us participated. What was the USSR? What has the collapse of this great country become for our country and for the whole world, and what are the reasons for this collapse? What today, after several decades, can we say about "perestroika"? What are the lessons of history, which, according to V. O. Klyuchevsky, "is not a kind teacher, but a warden who punishes for unlearned lessons."

Some of the materials presented at the exposition will be made public for the first time.

Visitors will find an interactive immersion into the past - on an area of more than four thousand square meters. The exposition will use the most modern multimedia tools that will make time travel not only educational, but also exciting and fun.

"Russia - My History" is an interactive historical project that has no analogues in the world, designed for the widest audience.

Three previous exhibitions: "Rurikovichs", "Romanovs", "1917-1945. From Great Upheavals to the Great Victory "- today they are constantly presented in the Historical Park" Russia - My History "in the huge 57th pavilion of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements. There are also historical clubs, youth associations of students, exciting and free educational events, programs for schoolchildren to prepare for the exam.

An ancient image of the Vladimir Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos will be brought to the exhibition

The project was created with the support of the Moscow Government.

On November 4, 2016, the exhibition is open to the public from 16.00 to 22.00.
