Solanaceous crops - when to start sowing?

They can be sown at several times. At the same time, it is important to pay attention to which variety your vegetables belong to in terms of ripening time. Late peppers and eggplants should be sown in early February. And when the second half of the month or even the last decade has begun, then medium-early and very early varieties and hybrids should be taken.
Despite the fact that the tomato also belongs to the nightshade crops, you should not rush to sow these vegetables. February is too early for a tomato. Sowing these vegetables should be postponed until March. But this rule also has its exceptions. And it concerns tall varieties for greenhouses. You can start sowing them as early as February.

Many are accustomed to growing onions in their garden in two years: by sowing nigella, and then planting on the seed-derived set the next season. However, it is quite possible to get large turnips in the first year. And for this they begin to sow seeds for seedlings in winter - in February. Moreover, during this period, you can sow almost all varieties of onions: leeks, shallots, onions.
