Growing a date palm from seed

For the first two or three weeks, caring for a palm tree will be very simple and straightforward - timely watering and daily airing of the room.

Before immersing the seeds in the soil, you can gently scratch them, which greatly simplifies the process of germination of the culture. The container with the seeds must be kept warm, and the ground must never be completely dry. After the appearance of the first roots, and this is after ten days or two weeks, you need to start monitoring the good illumination of the place. Do not be upset if suddenly palm sprouts have not appeared even after two weeks. The stone could well dry out, and therefore the plant just needs a little more time. It also happened that the palm tree sprouted only six months after the planting procedure.

The date palm that has already formed on the soil surface is very afraid of root defects, and especially from mechanical stress. Therefore, when transplanting a plant or carrying out other procedures, you need to be as careful and careful as possible.

As for the basic rules for caring for a date palm, she immediately needs to select a large container for planting. The volume of the pot should be at least half a liter. But this applies only to the first container. Further, the container should be larger and larger. Saplings are prone to development in places with a lot of sunlight, but where it will not be scorching and hot. The watering procedure should not be very frequent, and you need to use a little water for it. In case of excessive moisture in the soil, the roots of the palm tree may begin to rot, and the plant that has not yet matured will die.
