Conditions for keeping indoor palms

It is prepared from turf and humus soil with sand (6: 2: 1).

• Livistona - the fan-shaped foliage gives a highly decorative appearance to the palm tree. However, caring for this beauty can be complicated by the fact that the petioles are studded with thorns. This is a more thermophilic plant, it will develop better in rooms where the average air temperature is about + 16 … + 20 ° С.

• Trachikarpus - fans of fan palms will also like it. In winter, it is recommended to reduce the temperature of the content to + 8 … + 14 ° С. For young plants, a soil mixture of sod, humus and leafy soil with sand is needed (4: 1: 1: 1). For transplantation, they take soil with a double content of humus.

In addition, rapes, chamedorea, and hamerops develop well in indoor conditions.

But date palms are grown not only in houses and greenhouses, but also in the open field. In addition, during the summer, this plant is recommended to be exposed to fresh air.
