Description of sorrel highlander

The sorrel highlander is an annual plant whose height ranges from thirty to sixty centimeters. The stem of this plant is straight, it can be either ascending or recumbent. The length of the leaves of highlander oxalis will be from four to ten centimeters, they can be from oblong to lanceolate, while sometimes the leaves can be endowed with a lunar black spot on top. By color, the leaves of this plant will be either green or with a rather thick light gray or white cobweb pubescence. The brushes are blunt and short, their length will be about four centimeters, and their thickness will be about one and a half centimeters. The perianth is most often painted in greenish tones, while the branches of the peduncles, perianths and inflorescences will be covered with yellow glands on the outside.

The flowering of sorrel mountaineer falls on the period from June to August. Under natural conditions, this plant can be found on the territory of the European part of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Far East, as well as in Western and Eastern Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers damp places, arable land, fallow lands, sand, the banks of reservoirs and ditches.

Description of the medicinal properties of sorrel mountaineer

Sorrel highlander is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes the leaves, stems and flowers of the mountaineer sorrel.

Anthraquinones are found in the roots of this plant. At the same time, saponins, vitamins C and K, tannins, coumarins, as well as the flavonoids kaempferol and quercetin will be in the aerial part of the oxalate mountaineer. In addition, the following organic acids are present in the aerial part of this plant: malic and citric, as well as such phenol carboxylic acids: chlorogenic and caffeic. Moreover, the leaves of this plant contain vitamins C and K, alkaloids, carotene and the following flavonoids: quercetin, myricetin, kaempferol and luteolin. The flowers of this plant contain alkaloids and vitamin C, and the fruits also contain vitamin C and carotene.

The aerial part of this plant is often used in the form of both aqueous and alcoholic tinctures as a diuretic, wound healing and hemostatic agent. Also, such funds are also effective for hemorrhoids, hemorrhoidal bleeding, as well as for heart defects and hypertension.

In the course of research, it was proved that the infusion or herb of oxalate mountaineer is endowed with a fixing, diuretic and hemostatic effect, and such funds can also have a rather short-term hypotensive effect. It is noteworthy that the infusion of this plant is endowed with antibacterial activity against Flexner's dysentery stick.

The leaves of this plant can be used for food as herbs, and the fruits can be used as a substitute for cereals.

As a diuretic, as well as for bleeding, it is recommended to use the following remedy: to prepare it, you will need to take one tablespoon of a mixture of crushed dry herbs of this plant and Knotweed in equal proportions per glass of boiling water. This mixture should be infused for thirty minutes, and then filtered thoroughly. Take this remedy one tablespoon about four times a day.
