The presented miniature versions of indoor roses delight with bright inflorescences, a pleasant aroma for a long time. There is a desire to increase the amount of beauty per square meter of the windowsill. How to propagate a pet? What kind of care does a home rose prefer?

Reproduction

Indoor varieties of miniature roses propagate by cuttings throughout the year. From the purchased copies, the first batch does not take root well. The second generation from successfully rooted samples gives 95% results.

The cut twigs are planted in separate peaks with a diameter of 6 cm or in small boxes 12 cm high. The containers are filled with a mixture of compost, peat, sand in a ratio of 1: 2: 1. For roses, high-moor peat, free from pathogens and weeds, is more suitable. Sterilization is not required. The porous structure holds the cuttings well, does not dry out for a long time. The addition of sand adds additional looseness.

Drainage holes are pierced at the bottom, pebbles are laid. Pour soil on top. Cut the cuttings with 2-3 leaves. The upper ones are shortened by half, the lower ones are removed completely. Roots will form here.

The branches are treated with a growth stimulator before planting. The heteroauxin tablet is dissolved in 25 ml of warm water with the addition of a small amount of alcohol. Dip the lower end into the solution for 5 seconds.

2 copies are planted in a pot, deepening the cuttings to the left leaves. Moisten the soil. Cover the nursery with glass or foil. In winter, they are placed under fluorescent lamps, installed at a height of 25-30 cm from the top of the box.

There is a direct dependence of the speed of formation of the root system on the lighting of roses. In the evening, morning hours, the lamps are turned on. The total length of daylight hours remains at the level of 16-18 hours. With this method, rooting occurs after 3-4 weeks.

Under the film, they monitor the moisture content of the substrate, spray the tops of the roses from a spray bottle several times.

Care

Indoor roses are light lovers, prefer southern, southeastern window sills. In summer, at noon, the plants shade from the hot rays. In the autumn-winter period, they are illuminated with lamps.

Ventilate the room often. Flowers need a constant supply of fresh air. The temperature is maintained at the level of 15-20 degrees, if possible.

The main problem when growing miniatures in a room is dry air. Bushes need high humidity.

A few tricks can help solve this problem:

• install a factory automatic humidifier next to the plants;

• under the pots fit a high container with pebbles, where water is poured;

• the bushes are sprayed daily from a spray bottle;

• use a large aquarium, pour expanded clay on the bottom, pour 2 cm of water, cover half with glass on top (get a mini-greenhouse);

• hang a wet cloth on the battery, moistening it as it dries.

Top dressing 2 times a month in spring, in summer with a weak concentration of complex mineral fertilizers for indoor flowers. During the budding period, an infusion of ash from deciduous trees is used. A teaspoon is insisted for a day in a liter of water.

Roses do not like in equal measure excess and lack of moisture. Practicing moderate watering as the topsoil dries up. Tap water is kept in a jar for 2 days or boiled water is used. In winter, the amount of watering is reduced to a minimum.

In the spring, small branches are cut, elongated shoots are shortened by 1/2 part. The bushes are transplanted into a pot 4-5 cm wider than the previous one. Do not use too bulky pots. The soil does not have time to dry out enough between waterings, the water stagnates, causing the process of soil oxidation.

Having learned the techniques of care and reproduction, you can always breed a sufficient number of plants for yourself, make gifts to relatives, friends for holidays, birthdays. There is a Russian proverb: "There is never too much beauty!" It is very suitable for miniature roses.
