Typical habitats are rock slopes, rocky zones and basalts (areas containing igneous volcanic rock).

Characteristics of culture

Gelikhrizum Araksin is represented by perennial herbaceous plants up to 40 cm high, endowed with a woody thin multi-headed root, which forms a huge number of stems during the growth process, pleasing with active flowering. The inflorescences, in turn, sit on shortened peduncles and are collected in loose, less often dense, highly branched scutes. Usually, one scutellum contains about 15-20 baskets, sometimes less than 10. Envelope leaves are formed in large numbers, usually 40-45. They are white with a strip of green or light yellow.
