Home garden secrets. Part 12

The following are the secrets of the home garden and its use. We continue the topic of what is important when planting plants in a room for the first time and then caring for them

Secret 6. You should choose the right seed for planting, exactly the type and variety that will grow on the windowsill. For this, you can study the instructions from the manufacturer of such material, whether it is intended, in addition to growing in the garden, for planting at home.

Beginners in gardening and plant growing should select seed material that is unpretentious in care, undemanding. Early maturing varieties will be more suitable for indoor growing. It only seems that it is easier for plants to develop in an apartment, it is easier to care for them and give them what they need as needed. In fact, such conditions for many of them are close to extreme, and therefore it is necessary to focus on those crops that quickly emerge, ripen, do not require serious care for them.

Secret 7. It is not enough to choose good and correct seeds. You also need to properly prepare them for planting. It is not enough just to disinfect the seeds. And it is not enough to soak them in plain water. Experienced plant breeders soak seed material before planting in immunocytophyte solutions, in gumi or phytosporin. Experts believe that for a good harvest, one should not neglect such procedures for the preparation of seed material as soaking, processing with special preparations and germination.

Secret 8 … One of the most difficult tasks for an indoor garden is maintaining the correct temperature regime. Making mistakes in this regard can deprive the crop even with the best seeds, good watering, lighting and care.

It is difficult to maintain the optimum temperature for plants in a room. Hot air rises from the batteries, and from the windows it pulls the plants with a draft and cold. In spring, there are changes in night and day temperatures. All these are stresses for plants.

But you still need to try to maintain the required air temperature in the room. To do this, place a thermometer in the place where the plants stand, since the air temperature here may differ from that which will be in the center of the room or outside.

Place the plants on wooden stands that raise them above the windowsill so that they do not shine from the window and it is not hot from the bottom of the radiator. Shade (especially southern) windows with curtains. Place a damp towel on top of the battery. But in any case, try to keep plants that need a normal room temperature for a person - 20-24C. But not those plants that grow only at temperatures up to 15C, not higher. At this temperature, the plants will be comfortable, but not for you, you must agree.

Secret 9. Final. You need to properly feed the plants in the room. A plant sitting in the ground will more easily reach the nutrients in it than one that grows in a container or pot. Therefore, feeding can only be expected from the owner. Again, you should pay attention to how saturated the soil you buy in the store. Sometimes its composition is enough not to add some dressings to the plant.

Of the common dressings for the indoor garden, the preparation gumi, which should be added to the water for watering plants, has proven itself quite well. Of the complex fertilizers, liquid fertilizers are the most attractive.

Do not forget to arrange for your home garden to prevent diseases, protect them from stress. For example, use an anti-stress biostimulant consisting of a liter of water, gumi (10 drops), and a teaspoon of phytosporin. With such a solution, you can treat the seeds before sowing, spray the plant, dip the roots when transplanting them, and so on.

Recipe for feeding solution for indoor plants (vegetables, herbs, berries) - 1. The bucket should be filled one third with compost, leaf humus from the garden, fill with water to the top, mix, let stand, mix again and let stand. Water the home garden with this water.
