Fender cinquefoil is one of the plants of the family called Rosaceae, in Latin the name of this plant will sound as follows: Potentilla crantzii (Crantz) G. Beck ex Fritsch. As for the name of the family of Potentilla fenders, in Latin it will be like this: Rosaceae Juss.

Description of fender Potentilla

Fennel cinquefoil is a perennial plant whose height will fluctuate between eight and twenty centimeters. It is noteworthy that the rhizome of this plant will be quite powerful. The stems of Potentilla Fender are slender and numerous. The marginal stems of this plant will be erect, while the middle stems are erect. The root and lower stem leaves of the fennel cinquefoil will be quintuple and short petiolate, while the middle stem leaves will be trifoliate, and the upper ones are sessile and simple. The leaves will be deeply notched toothed, and from above they can be either almost naked or appressed-haired. The inflorescence of Potentilla Fender is multiflorous.

The flowers of this plant will be about one to two and a half centimeters in diameter, the outer sepals are much shorter than the inner ones. The petals of the Potentilla of the Fender are painted in golden yellow tones, are notched and will be exactly twice as long as the sepals. The flowering of this plant occurs in the period from July to August.

Under natural conditions, fennel cinquefoil can be found on the territory of the Carpathians in Ukraine, in all regions of the Caucasus and Central Asia, in the Altai region of Western Siberia, on the territory of the Siberian Arctic and the European Arctic, as well as in the following regions of the European part of Russia: Dvinsko-Pechora, Karelo -Murmansky, Ladoga-Ilmensky, Volzhsko-Kamsky and Baltic regions. For growth, the plant prefers cliffs, meadows, forest edges and rocky placers.

Description of the medicinal properties of Potentilla fennel

Fennel cinquefoil is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the herb of this plant, which is recommended to be harvested throughout the entire flowering period. The concept of grass includes flowers, leaves and stems of this plant.

Ellagic acid and the following flavonoids are located in the aerial part of the Potentilla of the Fender: glycosides of kaempferol, quercetin and isorhamnetin. The leaves will contain phenol carboxylic acids and their derivatives: ferulic, ellagic, caffeic and p-coumaric acids, as well as cyanidin, quercetin and kaempferol. It should be noted that the fennel cinquefoil is endowed with the ability to display increased antibacterial activity.

To prepare a healing remedy based on Potentilla fennel, you will need to take three tablespoons of dry crushed herbs of this plant for two cups of boiling water. It is recommended to infuse the resulting healing mixture for about two hours in a sealed container, after which such a therapeutic agent based on this plant should be very thoroughly filtered. The resulting healing agent is taken on the basis of Potentilla fender half an hour before the start of a meal three times a day, one third of a glass. It should be noted that in order for it to become possible to ensure maximum efficiency when taking such a healing agent based on Potentilla fenders, it is recommended to very carefully follow all the rules for preparing such a remedy, as well as to strictly observe all the norms for taking such a remedy based on this plant. If these conditions are met, maximum efficiency will be achieved when taking this drug based on Potentilla fenders.
