The genus Lysimachia (Lysimachia) or Verbeinik is a relatively numerous community of herbaceous perennial plants, numbering about two hundred species, among which there are also semi-shrubs.
The decorative interest in the plant was awakened by the long and abundant flowering of spike-shaped inflorescences of different colors. Some species are interesting for their beautiful foliage, for which gardeners grow lysimachia in their flower beds.
Admirers of the coin loosestrife, which loves to grow near water bodies, tried to lower twigs with miniature round leaves into an aquarium with fish. The plant perfectly blended into the water element, but it still refuses to bloom under water.
Varieties

Verbeynik dark-purple (Lysimachia atropurpurea) - medium-sized bushes, growing up to 60 cm in height, abundantly and continuously giving purple flowers.

Common loafers (Lysimachia vulgaris) is a herbaceous plant with oblong leaves on an erect stem. It grows to a height of 60 to 120 cm. Yellow paint can be made from the leaves. Paniculate inflorescences are collected from bright yellow flowers. It is a medicinal plant used in traditional medicine.

Loose mint (Lysimachia nummularia) - suitable for brewing healing tea, and therefore in some areas it is called
"Moneywort" … A lover of wet places chooses a place of residence closer to lakes, ponds and other bodies of water. Its creeping stems, which grow up to 30 cm in length, form a ground cover of small rounded leaves and cupped yellow flowers. Blooms profusely throughout the summer. The decorative variety "Golden" additionally decorated its leaves with a yellow pattern.

Verbeynik cage (Lysimachia clethroides) - amazingly picturesque inflorescences-ears, collected from star-shaped white flowers, and lanceolate green leaves, wearing a red outfit in autumn, adorn bushes up to 100 cm high.

Loafers ephemeral (Lysimachia ephemerum) - overshadows the beauty of the previous species, growing to the same height, having the same lanceolate leaves, but its large inflorescences-ears, reaching a length of 30 cm, are collected from stellate flowers, painted white with a purple tint.

Verbeynik point (Lysimachia punctata) - straight stems up to 100 cm high covered with ovoid leaves. The apical inflorescences-ears, which make up a fifth of the plant's height, are collected from yellow flowers with a cupped base.
Growing
Verbains can grow in the sun and in partial shade, as long as the soil is moist. Therefore, if the place is not humid enough, regular watering of the plant is required.

The soil for a comfortable life should be fertile, loose and constantly moist. When growing loosestrife in containers and flower pots, peaty soil is used.
In open ground in areas with a cold climate, the plant is planted in early autumn, or in spring. Do not forget to maintain the distance between the bushes, which is the greater, the taller the plant.
Reproduction
The most popular way of breeding loosestrife is by rooting shoots.
