What could be better than a New Year's holiday mood? More festive mood! I am pretty tired of primitive Christmas tree decorations. Frankly, I have not updated them for several years. And when the desire appeared, there was no extra money in the wallet. But it didn't upset me, it only spurred me on and sent a huge surge of creativity to my head. "Why waste money if I can do beautifully too!" - I thought. And away we go

Christmas toys from CDs

Surely everyone has a couple of CDs that have not been used for many years. And I am no exception. For my first homemade toy, I just needed these, and a few more old Christmas balls, scissors and high-quality glue. Got everything you need? You can start!

Remove the old covering from the Christmas balls, since we need to get a transparent base for our toy. By the way, I did it in 10 minutes. I just used sandpaper. But if you want to save time, you can buy such balls at any store that sells New Year's accessories.

Then take the old discs and just cut them into several small pieces. You can try to cut out various shapes, or you can not bother too much about this. When the discs are cut and the pieces are ready, simply glue them onto a transparent base. The first type of toys is ready.

Pirate balls can be made using the same principle. If you have a lot of old coins, glue them around the balls as well. But pre-paint with gold paint. This will give the decoration an expensive, but at the same time antique look.

You can also use old newspapers. Have you ever seen a manicure with newspaper text on your nails? It will work out as well. To do this, you need to attach a newspaper to the surface and moisten it with a cotton swab with alcohol or perfume. Hold in this position for several minutes (about 1-2). Then treat the ball with any transparent varnish. Ready!

Christmas decorations using bottle caps

For our next idea, you will need: bottle beer caps, several beautiful embroidery ribbons, an awl (thick needle / can opener), watercolor paints (felt-tip pens) and wire (or woolen threads). Let's make a snowman. To do this, you do not have to go outside or wait for snow, it is enough to combine all the previous items. And how, I'll tell you now.

So, one snowman is three covers, one tape and threads. We take the lids and use a can opener to make holes on two - top and bottom, and on the last - only on top.

Next, we fold the covers in the form of a snowman, and fasten them together with threads. We put the tape into the upper hole (we make a mount for the toy). Between the first and second caps, make a scarf for our snowman (just tie a ribbon), and glue a small button in place of the knot. In place of the snowman's head, draw a muzzle (orange nose, black eyes and mouth). The homemade snowman is ready, rather hang it on the tree.

Our next craft, funny penguins, we will make from ordinary bulbs. We also need watercolors and some tinsel. To do this, paint one side of the bulb black and the other white. Moreover, the black should go over the white, while forming the contour and body of the penguin. Then draw two legs in black. Don't forget about the eyes and nose. And in order to hide unnecessary parts of the light bulb, make hats for our birds from tinsel. Just glue the material to the metal part of the base, and make a mount on the top so that the toy can be hung on the tree.

Perhaps the simplest decoration will be a bump. I decided to just dye it a little gold and slightly decorate it with sparkles (you can buy them at any cosmetic store).

Quickly, and most importantly, beautifully, I created a New Year's atmosphere in my home. It remains only to add the smell of tangerines! Happy Holidays!
