Vechernitsa bushes will help to create the atmosphere of an old manor house of the 19th century. Collected in small groups, they will decorate any corner of the garden. For successful cultivation, you need to know the methods of breeding and caring for your favorite flower
Reproduction
It reproduces well in two ways:
• vegetative;
• seed (early spring or late autumn).
Initially, they buy ready-made plants (they take root well at any age) or are sown from store bags.
The bed is dug onto the bayonet of a shovel, filled with humus, break up the lumps with a rake, leveling the surface. After 20 cm, grooves are cut with a depth of 0.5 cm. Watered with a solution of potassium permanganate. Spread the seeds 5 cm apart. Sprinkle with a thin layer of earth, compacting the soil over the rows.
The film is pulled through the arcs. Keep the soil moist. After 2-3 weeks, the first seedlings appear. Seedlings are fed with Kemira compound fertilizer, a tablespoon per bucket of liquid. Gradually remove the shelter, accustoming the "young" to the conditions of open ground.
Self-seeding effortlessly emerges next year in the spring next to mature bushes. To populate other places, it is enough to put plants with ripe seeds in the right place. Friendly shoots will appear there in the spring.
Landing
By the end of summer, they prepare a place for seedlings, digging up the soil, removing the roots of malicious weeds. Organic matter (rotted manure, compost) is added on top. Acidic soils are limed, strained soils are loosened with sand.
Dig small holes. Sprinkle with a solution of Zdraven fertilizer, dissolving a tablespoon in a bucket of water. Plants with a large lump of earth are transplanted to a permanent place, setting a distance of 25 cm between the bushes. They fall asleep with fertile soil, crushing the soil around the stem. The surface is mulched with sawdust or peat to create a better microclimate in the root zone.
Care
At first, young plants need close attention. Keeping the soil in a moderately moist state is the key to good survival in a new place. Timely weeding, loosening of row spacings, will help to destroy "competitors".
Top dressing twice a season with complex fertilizer "Baikal", according to the instructions, will give the opportunity to get stronger bushes before leaving for the winter.
The next year, in the spring, after the regrowth of greenery, hesperis is fed with nitroammophos. Spread a matchbox on 1 square meter or use a solution at the same rate.
Upon reaching fifty centimeters in height, a support from an iron ring on a leg, painted green, is installed. This design does not attract attention, preserving the beauty of the plants, preventing lodging during strong winds.
Further care consists in regular moderate watering, removing weeds, loosening row spacings. To maintain a beautiful appearance, dried inflorescences are periodically removed.
Pests
Like any culture from the cruciferous family, the nocturnal can be affected by flea beetles at an early stage, the leaves are eaten by caterpillars of butterflies, slugs. To combat them, it is enough to use agrotechnical methods:
1. Dusting young plants with ash or tobacco dust after watering.
2. Destruction of plant residues in the fall.
3. Loosening the soil around the bushes.
4. Collecting larvae during the growing season.
5. Daily inspection of leaves for egg-laying, followed by their destruction.
Diseases
The list of diseases is limited to root rot, phomosis, rarely powdery mildew. In the fight against them, the following measures are used:
• maintaining the rate of planting of plants per unit area;
• placement in open, ventilated places;
• timely removal of diseased plants or their parts;

• on wet soils, the device before planting drainage;
