Brugmancia arborea (lat. Brugmancia arborea) - a representative of the Brugmansia genus of the Solanaceae family. Under natural conditions, it grows in minimal quantities in warm and hot regions, namely in Colombia, Bolivia, Peru and Chile. The people call the plant an intoxicating tree, which is associated with a distinctive feature of all species - a strong intoxicating aroma. The culture is often referred to as angel pipes. This aspect is due to the structure of bright flowers, which are outwardly angelically attractive and unusual.
Characteristics of culture
Brugmansia treelike is represented by evergreen shrubs, which do not exceed 3-3.5 m in height. Strong stems, in turn, are crowned with elongated (up to 17-18 cm) foliage of gray-green color, pubescent with short soft hairs. The flowers are white or of another color (depending on the shape and variety), reach 25 cm in length, can be simple, tiered, double. Fruits are pear-shaped, small, no more than 10 cm in diameter.
It is important to note that the species was described back in the middle of the 18th century by Karl Liney and today it is on the verge of extinction in nature. In culture, it is used very often, has many varieties and forms. Refers to light and heat-loving cultures, feels great on the lands of the countries of Southern Europe, in the Crimea and the Caucasus. It is grown in Russia, but it cannot stand cold winters, therefore, it is transferred to a greenhouse for the winter, where it feels no worse.
Growing features
As already mentioned, tree brugmansia is very fond of warmth and light, therefore the optimal temperature for growing it is 25-29C. In winter, the temperature is lowered to 18C, but not lower than 15C. Under such conditions, the plant seems to freeze, scientifically enters a state of dormancy - it does not bloom and does not develop as actively as in spring and summer. Too low temperatures are undesirable, otherwise brugmansia will shed the leaves.
It is important to mention that tree brugmansia does not tolerate sudden changes, that is, unexpected temperature drops, strong winds and drafts can adversely affect the health of the plant. Does not like culture and extreme heat, however, subject to abundant watering, it does not wilt. Burgmansy treats direct sunlight well, but on condition of 2-3 hours a day. For the rest of the time, it is worth giving her an area with a sparse shadow.
If brugmansia is grown in a room where there is little light, it is important to organize additional lighting with phytolamps. Soils are preferable nutritious, moderately moist, drained (expanded clay, fine gravel, pebbles), light, well-permeable, neutral. It is undesirable to plant the plant on strongly acidic, heavy, saline, waterlogged and waterlogged soils.
Care
Caring for the culture as a whole is not difficult. The main manipulation for a plant is watering, this aspect is associated with a lush green mass, which loses a lot of life-giving moisture in the sun. It is important to regularly water brugmansia, not to allow the earthen coma to dry out either in a pot or in open ground. In the open field, it is better to carry out mulching in order to exclude rapid evaporation of moisture. It is also undesirable to overflow, otherwise the plant will begin to rot.
Fertilizers play an important role. Mineral fertilizers should be applied 3-5 times during the spring-summer when grown outdoors, 6-7 times when grown in a pot indoors. The quantity is strictly according to the directions on the package or in the annotation. Growth activity and abundance of flowering depend on how well the culture "feeds". The poorer the nutrition, the poorer the flowering.

Satin Tree
Satin tree (lat.Chrysophyllum oliviforme) - a fruit plant belonging to the popular Sapotov family. Sometimes this plant is also called a satin tree. Description The satin tree is a fruit tree reaching from three to five meters in height, which is characterized by a rather impressive thickness of the trunks - quite often it reaches thirty centimeters or more.
Heteromeles Tree-leaved
Heteromeles tree-leaved (Latin Heteromeles arbutifolia) - an evergreen perennial from the Pink family. Its second name is toyon. And sometimes this culture is also called the Christmas berry. Description Heteromeles tree-leaved is an evergreen perennial shrub, the height of which ranges from two to five meters, however, under especially favorable conditions, such bushes can stretch up to ten meters up.
Brugmansia
Brugmansia - this is a beautiful flower that pleases its owners throughout the summer with a lush fountain of flowers, which will be tubular-bell-shaped in shape. Features of growing and caring for brugmansia Small pots are categorically unsuitable for brugmansia:
Brugmansia Fragrant
Brugmancia aromatic (lat.Brugmancia suaveolens) - one of the most interesting representatives of the Brugmansia clan. The plant cannot boast of large flowers, but it has a rich aroma and delicate color. In nature, the species is found in warm regions, but most often in South America and India.
Brugmansia Blood Red
Brugmancia blood-red (lat.Brugmancia sanguine) - a representative of the Brugmansia clan, belonging to the Solanovy family. One of the tallest species. In nature, specimens over 10 m in height can be captured, but in very limited numbers, since the plant is on the verge of extinction due to human factors.
