Project period

Flower bed
A flower bed is a small or medium-sized flower garden. Its shape can be round, oval, triangular, square, polygonal.
Most often, small flower beds are made flush with the lawn. If the flower bed is more than 5 square meters, its center is raised (for each meter of radius by 5-10 cm). On such convex flower beds, water stagnation does not form and flowers look good.
Color spots
On the vastness of the green lawn, a color spot is created. It can be of different sizes and configurations. The main requirement for plants of a color spot is a bright color of leaves and flowers and varietal uniformity. The advantages of colored spots are that they are beautiful; easily executable; can decorate any object in a short time.
There are 2 types of color spots:
• One-plane - can be monochromatic or multi-colored. Plants of the same height are selected. The highlighting of the spot on the green lawn is provided by the color of the plants. Suitable for such spots: hyacinths, crocuses, muscari, daffodils, low tulips, tree forest, forget-me-nots, marigolds, pansies and others. You can create spots from contrasting tones: yellow - lilac; white - blue; yellow - red.
• Volumetric - plants of different heights are selected. Low-growing plants create a background against which blotches of higher ones reign. For such spots, it is important to select plants with the same flowering period.
An example of a classic volumetric color spot: a short red tulip against a background of white crocuses. You can often see blood-red salvia in city parks against the background of silvery cineraria.
Suitable as a background for a volumetric color spot: crocuses, forget-me-nots, marigolds, hyacinths, verbena, sedum, muscari, chionodox. Blotches can be both in the form of single plants and in the form of a small nest of plants. Good for this: medium-sized tulips, daffodils, montbrecia, hazel grouses, Siberian irises and others.
Modular flower garden
This type of flower garden is in demand in landscaping areas at cottages. As a rule, they try to pave such territories as much as possible, leaving islands for greenery and flowers, the so-called "modules".
Modules can be of different sizes and shapes. Bulbous ones with a clear bush shape, or undersized annuals look especially good in them. It is important that the flowers grow clearly in the module designated for them, without getting out of their limits.
