The majestic beauty of daylilies

The variety of varieties of daylilies is so huge that the eyes run up when it comes to choice. The most luxurious specimens are quite expensive. Among the cheaper options, you can also find real masterpieces

In recent years, she began to get involved in the cultivation of daylilies. Lush bushes with fan-shaped leaves caught my attention in nursery catalogs. On the streets of our city, only one old variety of daylily, bright red, is often found. Modern representatives are radically different from this specimen. For comparison, I attach his photo.

For 3 years, I have collected on my site a whole collection of daylilies of more than 30 varieties. The hybrids of the latest generation with purple inserts, bright pink rays running down from the center to the edge of the petal, look especially beautiful. Slightly corrugated edges give them a special charm. Marvel at the pretty, freshly blossomed Indian Gever bud.

Bright yellow, sunny inflorescences of a representative of this class are striking in their size - 15 cm in diameter. The green throat merges smoothly into the maroon center. The edging along the edge of the petal of the same color gives a certain solemnity. Before us is a variety of Spanish selection El Desperado, which means "desperate".

The fiery red hue of the Monti Carlo Red daylily is visible from afar. It creates a striking contrast in the flowerbed, drawing everyone's attention. It is impossible to pass by and not admire the freshly blossomed buds.

Miniature daylilies of the first generation are no less attractive. Usually the diameter of the peduncles is 8-10 cm. A huge amount on one bush gives the effect of many flashlights. Due to this, flowering lasts much longer than that of large varieties.

The dark cherry color of the petals with the yellow throat of the daylily Pardon Me looks impressive against the background of light green foliage. It flaunts from mid-July until autumn.

The solar inflorescences of the Stele de Oro are directed upwards. The ancient variety still enjoys well-deserved respect among collectors. It's hard to find a site that doesn't have these wonderful bells.

Unusual terry hybrids look special, resembling a rose at the very beginning of its flowering. Deep burgundy with a light velvet tint, yellow throat, Night Amber amazes with its majestic appearance. Small wavy petals in the center give it extra beauty.

Forti Second Street organically combines 2 shades: bright red and delicate peach at the edge of the inflorescence. The gracefully curved shape of the petals resembles the curls of a flirty young lady.

In recent years, breeders have developed a new species of daylilies that look like huge spiders. Scientifically called spiders. The length of the petals is several times their width. The diameter of the inflorescence itself reaches 28-32 cm. Here is a representative of this Springfield Clan group. The yellow middle and fiery edges make it stand out in the flower bed. This fiery beauty can be seen from afar.

Even the most talented artist could hardly have come up with a more complex drawing. Nature did her best and painted the Free Wheeline petals with such a bizarre pattern. From a distance, it seems that the burgundy rays are illuminated by neon light. The bright yellow border resembles the sun.

It is interesting to watch the blossoming buds of daylilies. Every day they delight with new discoveries. Sometimes inflorescences on the same bush differ from each other. When I come to the site, the first thing I do is to bypass my new acquisitions. I admire, take pictures of the best specimens as a keepsake. To enjoy the delightful colors of summer on long winter evenings.

In the future, I plan to start breeding my own hybrids. I hope that the results will please with their beauty and unusual shape.
