Continuing the topic of strawberries, I would like to mention that the technology of growing remontant strawberries is very similar to the technology of growing strawberries, since these berries are close "relatives". And yet, the cultivation of remontant strawberries has its own characteristics, which I want to talk about
Remontant strawberry varieties bloom and bear fruit repeatedly, both in spring and autumn. The constant overload of crops is the reason for the fragility of these varieties. Some of the best varieties are: Lord, Lyubava, Albion, Vima Rina, Khonei, Selva.
Repairing Strawberry Care
Caring for remontant strawberries primarily consists of loosening and watering. Thanks to loosening, we enrich the soil with oxygen, which participates in the oxidation reactions of mineral and organic substances. During fruiting, strawberries are not loosened, and they are also not weeded, as this can harm a good harvest. Weeds, of course, affect strawberries, picking up beneficial trace elements from the soil, so if there are too many weeds, they should be carefully removed, thereby helping the strawberries. You cannot overdo it with weeding!
An obligatory procedure in caring for remontant strawberries is feeding, which must be carried out in a timely manner. It will not work to get a good harvest without fertilization, and I would like to write a little more about this.
Feeding strawberries
Let's figure out how and what to properly feed strawberries. Feeding strawberries must be done in several stages. The first feeding of strawberries should be done in the spring (April-May), when our beauty woke up after "hibernation" and requires immediate "feeding". Top dressing should be done even before the leaves bloom and preferably at a time when the weather is already warm. What specific fertilizer should you use? Currently, there are many different fertilizers on the market, but you should not get carried away with chemistry, because growing a strawberry for yourself and your loved ones, without chemical fertilizers, is much more pleasant. Many now opt for organic fertilizers, such as humus or infusion of chicken manure diluted 1:12, with which they feed the soil. You can also feed mullein infusion, dilute it in a ratio of 1:10. It is necessary to fertilize strawberries at the very root, half a liter of fertilizing for each bush.
At a time when the fruit is being formed, strawberries need potassium, which is contained in potassium nitrate, droppings, as well as ash. Therefore, such fertilizer will be what you need. We repeat the feeding process itself, as for the first time, that is, we breed in the same ratio and feed in the same proportions. The next stage of soil fertilization must be done immediately after the first harvest, since the soil needs to be replenished with microelements that the strawberries took over to give us a full harvest. This stage falls around mid to late July. During the second feeding, you can cut off the leaves and whiskers. It would even be more correct to say - tidy up the flower bed and feed our "queen of the garden". To destroy the parasites living on strawberries, you can spray the bushes with a 2% solution of Bordeaux liquid, which you can prepare yourself. To do this, we need copper sulfate and lime milk in a 1: 1 ratio. We take 200 g of copper sulfate and 200-220 g of quicklime per 10 liters of water and prepare a solution of Bordeaux liquid.
And the last, final stage of feeding strawberries will fall on mid-September, and then, only for the bushes of the first years. The sequence and process remain unchanged.

Loosening The Soil: What You Need To Know?
What do you know about dry watering? The name itself seems to contain a contradiction, but when you learn more about this agricultural technique, it becomes clear that this technique works no worse than moistening the soil. This becomes especially relevant when it is not possible to water the beds with water at the next visit to the summer cottage. So what are we talking about - about such a seemingly common process as loosening the soil. But it also needs to be done wisely
What You Need To Know About Sweet Pepper Varieties
Experienced homeowners know that the successful cultivation of sweet peppers depends not least on the right cultivar. This vegetable is grown almost everywhere, but in different regions it has its own special requirements for agricultural technology, sowing time, cultivation methods
Cucumber Seeds - What You Need To Know?
The quality of the planting material largely determines the success of the future harvest. And it doesn't matter if you grow cucumbers in a greenhouse, open field or indoor conditions - in any case, you need to know how to determine the quality of seeds and, if necessary, improve it
Growing Bell Pepper: What You Need To Know In Advance
Growing bell peppers is a painstaking but exciting task. To achieve success, the gardener faces many tasks: pick and prepare seeds, grow healthy seedlings, then take care of the pepper in the beds, protecting it from the invasion of pests and diseases. Is it any wonder that the summer resident treats the harvested crop with great love, and calls the pepper sweet?
Everything You Need To Know About Strawberries. Part 1
Many summer residents, gardeners are engaged in the cultivation of strawberries, we can say that everything. After all, how many vitamins and microelements this berry contains! For example, in terms of vitamin C content, strawberries are not inferior even to citrus fruits, and the calcium content is completely absorbed by the human body. Ripe fresh berries are packed with antioxidants, sugar, citric and malic acid, manganese, iron, phosphorus and many other nutrients
