Experienced homeowners know that the successful cultivation of sweet peppers depends not least on the right cultivar. This vegetable is grown almost everywhere, but in different regions it has its own special requirements for agricultural technology, sowing time, cultivation methods
The value of the variety for winter greenhouses and open ground
Bell peppers are a well-known thermophilic crop. And it can be placed in open beds only when stable warm weather is established outside the window, and the soil is well warmed up by the sun. Therefore, in regions with a relatively cool climate, early varieties are preferred in vegetable gardens. Early ripening crops give a harvest faster - in 90-110 days from the moment of planting seeds for seedlings in the soil, and it has time to ripen before the arrival of the autumn cold.
Those who have taken care of arranging a greenhouse on their backyard farm do not apply such restrictions, especially if the shelter is additionally equipped with heating. In winter greenhouses, juicy fresh fruits can be removed from late varieties of peppers until late autumn. However, the owners of greenhouse structures also need to take into account the nuances of choosing varieties for greenhouses. In particular, in a limited area such varieties should be cultivated, the bushes of which are more compact in width in size.
For cultivation in greenhouses, it would be wise to use varieties with different ripening times. This will keep fresh vegetables on the dining table for longer. In addition to the timing of ripening, such crops also differ in other parameters: taste, shape, wall thickness, and their size. Late-ripening varieties are distinguished by the fact that they form larger and more juicy fruits. The harvest from such peppers is harvested after about 150 days from the day of sowing.
Early and mid-season varieties
Thanks to the efforts of breeders, today there are so many different varieties for every taste. Of course, it is important that the pepper ripens on time. But I also want it to look beautiful in conservation, if it is planned to plant a lot of vegetables, and the hostess is anxious about the preparations for the winter. Here the choice is very wide, because there are fruits that have a cone-shaped, and cubic, and almost round shape. And the color of the fruit is found not only yellow or red, green peppers, and white, and orange, and even dark purple, can be ripe. Let's get to know them better.
The early ones include the following varieties and hybrids:
• Snow White - cultivated in greenhouses. Fruits are elongated triangular in shape, weight ranges from 80 to 100 g. Ripe vegetables turn red. These are bushes with high yields, they bring about 8 kg of fruit per 1 sq. M. area. The variety is used both for consumption in food immediately fresh, and for preparations for the winter.
• Madonna F1 - a hybrid that forms fruits of an interesting cubic shape. In warm latitudes, it is used for cultivation in the open field. Forms a half-stem bush. Fruits are impressive in size, up to 220 g, yellow. The walls are thick and retain their shape well when preserved.
Mid-season varieties for polycarbonate greenhouses, film shelters, which are also suitable for open field cultivation in hot southern regions:
• Swallow - used for growing both in the open field and in the greenhouse. The plant forms a relatively compact bush, densely covered with fruits, its height reaches 0.5 m. From an area of about 1 sq. M.up to 5 kg of crop can be harvested. The fruits ripen after about 120 days from the date of sowing. The shape of the pepper is elongated triangular, the average weight is up to 100 g, the color of the fruit is red.
• Maria F1 - is a high-yielding hybrid. The height of a half-stem bush can reach 85 cm, the shape is spreading. Fruits with a ribbed surface, rectangular shape. It is recommended to cultivate in a film shelter. The weight of one fruit is about 100 g, the color is red.

Loosening The Soil: What You Need To Know?
What do you know about dry watering? The name itself seems to contain a contradiction, but when you learn more about this agricultural technique, it becomes clear that this technique works no worse than moistening the soil. This becomes especially relevant when it is not possible to water the beds with water at the next visit to the summer cottage. So what are we talking about - about such a seemingly common process as loosening the soil. But it also needs to be done wisely
Cucumber Seeds - What You Need To Know?
The quality of the planting material largely determines the success of the future harvest. And it doesn't matter if you grow cucumbers in a greenhouse, open field or indoor conditions - in any case, you need to know how to determine the quality of seeds and, if necessary, improve it

Growing bell peppers is a painstaking but exciting task. To achieve success, the gardener faces many tasks: pick and prepare seeds, grow healthy seedlings, then take care of the pepper in the beds, protecting it from the invasion of pests and diseases. Everything You Need To Know About Strawberries. Part 1
Many summer residents, gardeners are engaged in the cultivation of strawberries, we can say that everything. After all, how many vitamins and microelements this berry contains! For example, in terms of vitamin C content, strawberries are not inferior even to citrus fruits, and the calcium content is completely absorbed by the human body. Ripe fresh berries are packed with antioxidants, sugar, citric and malic acid, manganese, iron, phosphorus and many other nutrients
Everything You Need To Know About Strawberries. Part 2
Continuing the topic of strawberries, I would like to mention that the technology of growing remontant strawberries is very similar to the technology of growing strawberries, since these berries are close "relatives". And yet, the cultivation of remontant strawberries has its own characteristics, which I want to talk about
