Schubert's bow is photophilous, prefers sunny areas. The culture is undemanding to soil conditions, it can grow both on stony clay soils and on sandy soils. Does not accept waterlogged, waterlogged and saline soils. Negatively refers to a dull shadow. Needs good drainage. Comparatively frost-resistant, adult plants are able to withstand frosts down to -12C.
