Making an anti-mosquito door

The structure is based on the frame. It is prepared in different variations: from wood, aluminum profile or plastic. The mesh fabric is used at choice: with small and large holes. You need to prepare for work and then the creative process will take no more than two hours.

Assembling the frame

The height is determined respectively on both sides, the diagonal is also measured.

We cut off the required dimensions, grind the edges with a file. We lay on a flat plane, if you use a profile, then we direct the grooves inward. We check the absence of distortions, the ratio of the diagonal and the angles. We collect with connecting fasteners.

For rigidity in the middle or in two places, we fix it with transverse strips. Now we cover the frame with the prepared mesh, fix it along one long side with a sealing cord, sinking it into the grooves. If the frame is wooden, we nail the planks. We pass to the opposite side, at this moment it is better to invite an assistant, for a more even stretching of the canvas. Cut off the excess mesh, attach the handle, part of the magnetic latch and hinge. The frame assembly is complete.

Installation

There are no difficulties in installation, since the "mosquito" is installed like a standard door. The basic rule is that the opening takes place in the opposite direction, if it is a balcony, terrace or entrance door, you need to choose the appropriate position. We attach the frame, mark the location of the hinges. Screw the hinges to the jamb with self-tapping screws. You may have to make a shallow cut-in - this is determined in place. It is important to ensure a tight fit when closed. We put the frame on the hinges, check the level and, if necessary, correct the distortions. When using magnets, we make an exact match of the elements, fix the hold-down devices on the jamb.

Mosquito door care

Watch out for the hinges: good sliding is ensured by periodic lubrication. Free play guarantees self-closing. The mesh should be washed once a year. To do this, it is best to use dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge. In the cold season, it is advisable to remove and clean the structure.
