The next plant that I would like to talk about without fail in this topic is the kolanchoe (or kalanchoe). It is also called the Chinese doctor, indoor ginseng. What is his strength and skill?
Kolanchoe or "mother-heroine"
Yes, indeed, this amusing plant is also called the mother-heroine. Probably for the numerous "children" hanging from the edge of its leaves with roots downward.
All types of kolanchoe have healing power, the main thing is that they are "viviparous". Just like the leaves of aloe, the leaves of this plant should be kept in the cold before using for medicinal purposes. At least for a week, you can do more.
After cooling, the leaves are scrolled in a meat grinder or chopped, juice is released from them. To prepare the juice of a plant for future use, you need to add medical alcohol or vodka to it. Then keep the tincture in a dark and cold place (plus 2-5 degrees C).
To propagate a plant, its "children" should simply be planted in pots with soil. And they just perfectly take root in a new place. Alternatively, you can plant the top of the plant separately. In any case, it needs to be cut off, otherwise the kolanchoe will quickly grow and lose its aesthetic attractive appearance. The stalk of the growing plant should be tied, as in the case of aloe, to some kind of support, to a peg.
What treats Kolanchoe?
Diseases and health problems, which the "Chinese doctor" can cope with, are countless. This is:
• burns
• wounds of various etiologies
• ulcers, furunculosis
• thrombophlebitis, varicose veins (in this case, tincture is used)
• diabetes and its consequences
• endocrine diseases
• tired legs, arms
• joint pain
• varicose veins, spider veins on the legs (lubricate visible veins)
• and much more.
Geranium
Or pelargonium. A very beautiful house plant, blooming in different shades of fragrant flowers. Another title of this green miracle is the village doctor. For treatment, geranium with scarlet, dark red flowers is used.
Pelargonium is propagated mainly by cuttings. There is no need to make any special manipulations with cuttings. It is enough to root them in the ground and they will quickly take root in it. Do not put geranium cuttings in the water, they will most likely rot. When it's warm outside, geraniums can be put on the loggia for permanent residence. But when it gets colder, be sure to bring it back into the warmth.
How is it treated?
Geranium juice was used to kill negative bacteria during inflammation, viral epidemics. Geranium is placed in a room where a patient with flu, colds, viral intestinal disease is lying, and he is recovering quickly. After all, geranium releases special essential oils into the air, which have strong antibacterial properties.
To reduce the calluses on the hands or feet, the pelargonium leaves are steamed, they are made into porridge in the form of a green mass and applied to dry corn. If there is an infected wound on the body, it is also treated with pelargonium leaf gruel. The same technique is used for joint diseases.
To be treated with geranium juice, you need to use only the freshest juice for it. After a couple of hours, he becomes helpless in treatment. Pelargonium juice is instilled into the nose with a cold. It can be done simply. Tear off a geranium leaf, rub it well in your hand and lubricate the inside of your nose with it. Laying in it after 10 minutes will be eliminated.
Also, the juice of the plant is used for skin diseases. They need to lubricate pimples, acne, dermatitis, neurodermatitis manifestations on the skin. If you often use geranium juice, try freezing it in cubes and mixing it with water. Then his healing power will not go anywhere. And it will be possible to use ice with geranium juice when needed.
In case of otitis media, pain in the ears in adults and children, the geranium leaves should be rubbed in the hands and inserted into the sore ear, rolling it up with a roller. The pain will subside quickly.
In our next story about medicinal indoor plants, we will talk about the beneficial and medicinal properties of Indian onions. See you!
