We offer from a number of indoor plantings, which we will discuss below, to create your own home green pharmacy. The best part is that the green assistants of this row are not difficult to look after. They will not ask the florist for unnecessary attention, but they are in a hurry to help heal him and other residents of the apartment, you just have to ask them about it
Aloe
Or the agave, as it is also called. Whatever kind it is, the plant has healing properties. The highest useful qualities are possessed by aloe, which is more than two years old. Over time, as the aloe bush grows old (five years and older), it also begins to lose the strength of its leaves. Before using aloe leaves for treatment, they must be cut, wrapped in foil and placed in the cold (in the side door of the refrigerator, in the cellar) for two weeks.
Of course, it can be used if you urgently need aloe and fresh, for example, with suppuration of a boil or wounds, but when cooled, the healing properties of the plant increase dramatically. These are the recipes with a plant that you can adopt when treating the following diseases below.
Tincture of leaves
It is used during epidemics, ARVI as a prophylactic agent and treatment of viral diseases, and is also used to increase immunity, with cancer problems, and many chronic diseases.
This recipe is very old, but it is very simple to prepare it if you grow aloe in your home. You will need 300 grams of aloe leaves, which must be finely chopped with a knife, also 600 grams of natural honey and the same amount of milliliters of fortified red wine, better than Cahors. We combine all these ingredients, close them in a jar or bottle, put them in a dark place, for example, on the table in the kitchen, and leave for ten days.
The course of treatment with tincture is usually a month, unless more time is required. And you need to drink this delicious fortified tincture one small spoon a couple of times a day.
Plant juice and its healing properties
Aloe juice is truly miraculous. It is not difficult to prepare it. It is necessary to drive out the aloe leaves, which have been well kept in the refrigerator, through a juicer. Or just grind them and squeeze them through a sieve or cheesecloth.
The juice of this plant is excellent for throat ailments such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, tonsillitis and others. To do this, juice diluted with water can be used to lubricate a sore throat. Or add the juice to a glass of water, then gargle it with a sore throat.
If periodontal disease of the gums, stomatitis occurs, then sore spots should be dripped (with a cotton swab) lubricated with aloe juice. If there is no time to prepare the juice in this case, just chew the leaves of the plant.
Add agave juice to your favorite hand or face cream and you are ready to use it for smoothing, disinfecting and improving skin color.
When the wound does not heal for a long time or the stitches after operations, they are lubricated with aloe juice, compresses are made, and the leaves of the plant cut along the length of the plant are applied to the sore spot.
Aloe juice is also used in veterinary medicine. For the treatment of lichen on the skin of an animal, for mixing it into water for various diseases, including such severe ones as distemper or enteritis.
Plant care
The plant multiplies and rejuvenates so that its juice is more valuable just enough. You need to use its shoots with stem cuttings. Place the shoot in water or stick it into the soil, which you then want to water. The shoot will quickly give roots. If the shoot was planted in water, it must be transplanted into a pot of soil. By the way, aloe pots must be stable, as the plant develops quickly and becomes branched, heavy.
When it grows significantly in the middle of the pot, you need to install a peg for which the plant will hold on and will not fall to one side at one fine moment, because you will tie it to it. Aloe standing on the windowsill on hot days should be shaded from direct sunlight. Watering aloe requires moderate, according to the "golden mean" system, without flooding the soil. Use fertilizer for succulent plants as a top dressing, you can occasionally feed it with tea leaves. But the first type of fertilizer in minimal doses would be preferable, otherwise you risk getting flies along with the tea leaves in the pot, which will be very difficult to get rid of afterwards.
