Description of two-needle currant

Two-spined currant is a shrub, the height of which reaches one and a half meters. The branches of this plant are quite numerous, they are collected in bunches, sometimes such branches can be drooping. Two-spined currant leaves reach a length of about one and a half to three centimeters, such leaves will be thin and dense, while on both sides they are naked. From above, such leaves are painted in dark green tones and will be shiny, from below these leaves are lighter and whitish, they are endowed with veins and will be oblong-wedge-shaped in shape. In the upper part, two-spined currant leaves can be both lobate-notched and shallow three-lobed, while the lobes along the edge are endowed with sharp teeth, which end with a tip. The inflorescence of this plant will be bare, the berries are small in size and they are painted in red tones, in diameter such berries will reach about five to seven millimeters, they will be spherical in shape, and the berries are also inedible.

Two-spined currant flowering occurs in the period from May to June, while fruiting will begin in August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Daursky region of Eastern Siberia, as well as in the west of the Amur region and Primorye in the Far East. As for the general distribution, two-spined currants can be found in North Korea, Mongolia, China and Japan. For growth, two-spined currant prefers rocks, stony slopes and talus, while the plant will grow in small thickets. It is noteworthy that the needle currant is a very ornamental plant.

Description of the medicinal properties of two-needle currants

Two-spined currant is endowed with very valuable medicinal properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the fruits, branches and leaves of this plant. The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the content of cyanogenic compounds in the composition of young leaves of this plant, while the fruits will contain vitamin C and carbohydrates.

A decoction prepared on the basis of two-needle currant branches should be used for scrofula. As for Tibetan medicine, here this plant is quite widespread. In case of tuberculosis of the lymphatic glands, fruits or two-needle currant leaves should be used. A decoction based on the dry fruits of this plant is indicated for use in various gynecological diseases.

For tuberculous lymphadenitis, it is recommended to use the following very effective healing agent based on this plant: to prepare such a drug, you will need to take ten grams of crushed dry branches of a two-needle currant for about two hundred milliliters of water. The resulting healing mixture should first be boiled for about five to six minutes, then this mixture is left to infuse for about one hour, after which such a medicinal mixture must be very thoroughly filtered. Take the resulting drug based on currant with a two-needle three times a day, regardless of food intake, one tablespoon. It should be noted that, provided that it is used correctly, such a drug based on currant with a two-needle will be very effective.
