Spring general cleaning of the house is just around the corner. It is useful to find out what things and mistakes in the interior make the house untidy, and how to avoid such shortcomings?

It has long been known that the best way to achieve order in your home is not to make a mess. But this is not always possible. It is not necessary to rush around the house with a bucket and a rag every day, it is enough to remember some of the untidy nuances that are most striking and spoil the impression of the house. These are the ones that should be avoided.

1. Dirty dishes in the sink

Don't leave dirty dishes in the kitchen sink after eating. Even without a dishwasher, washing dishes and cups after a meal is much easier than after a while, when food debris is more difficult to remove from the surface of the dishes. After that, be sure to wash and wipe dry the countertop.

2. Untimely cleaning of the sink

Foam remaining in the sink indicates that the drain is clogged with grease and food debris. A porcelain or metal sink can be cleaned using warm soapy water. Then you should sprinkle it with baking soda, wait a few minutes and wash it off with water. The sink will shine like new. The same procedure can be done with the sink in the bathroom.

3. Unmade bed

During the night, the bed crumples, takes on an untidy look, so in the morning it must be tucked in: pull and straighten the blanket, fluff up the pillows, and cover it with a blanket. Constantly unmade bed in the house is the first sign of untidiness of the hostess or owner.

4. Small things around the house

Another bad habit is to scatter toys, magazines and other small items around the rooms. It is necessary to give each thing its own place, to allocate special containers, shelves, trays and cabinets for this.

5. Dirty floors

Again, you don't have to clean the floor every day. It is enough to do this 1-2 times a week with the help of a mop, broom, rag and special detergents, and for a week just keep it clean and, if necessary, sweep or wipe the dust collected in the corners.

6. Shelves decorated in different styles

The clutter of the shelves gives the impression of a dirty and unkempt home. It is advisable not to store worn-out paperback books on an open bookshelf. It is better to put decorative or live indoor plants, a photo frame, a picture, a souvenir or a beautiful trinket on it.

7. Messy coffee table

No need to pile up a coffee table with newspapers, magazines and every little thing. It is better to adapt a simple cardboard box or box for storing them. It is good to decorate the table with an unusual accessory for the interior, a bowl of fruits, houseplants or flowers in a vase.

8. Piles of dirty laundry

Dirty linen spoils the bathroom interior. A pile of clean and dirty laundry in the bathroom or on the dresser by the bed creates an unpleasant impression. There are special baskets for dirty laundry, but it is better to wash the laundry quickly, iron it and put it in the closet.

9. Dirty and old towels

Hygiene requirements include changing towels at least once a week. Aesthetically clean bed linen is not only washed and ironed sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers, but also a clean and ironed towel. Dishcloths need to be changed more often.

10. Storing excess cosmetics on shelves

Quite often people feel sorry for throwing away cosmetics they don't use. As a result, a whole warehouse of expired and unnecessary funds is collected in the house. Collect all such cosmetic jars and bottles and put them in the trash bin. This action frees up a lot of space in the closet, and you can also get rid of unnecessary junk that makes the house untidy.

11. Disorder on the surface of the refrigerator

Often, a school schedule, pieces of paper with reminders or recipes, and a bunch of magnets are hung on the refrigerator door. According to most interior designers, this is very harmful to the overall impression of the kitchen, makes the room sloppy, uncomfortable and untidy. Therefore, you need to remove everything and wipe the surface of the refrigerator well inside and outside. If you really need to attach something important and valuable to the refrigerator, then it should be in limited quantities. It is not worth cluttering the surface of this household appliance.

12. Incorrect lighting

In low light, some things in the house look dull. Therefore, it is recommended to correctly configure the lighting by organizing several light sources at once. Change the light bulb in the chandelier to a less powerful one. It is advisable to use not an overhead light, but table lamps, a floor lamp in the hall and wall sconces in the bedroom. This will make the atmosphere mysterious and cozy, since a small space will be illuminated, and not the entire room as a whole. This approach will make the home more comfortable and less noticeable.
