Why do you need a pumping station

This device brings the pressure to the required level, allows you to solve the problem of uninterrupted water supply, including the following positions:

How to choose a pumping station

The normal functioning of the household station is ensured due to the preliminary determination of goals, based on this, the design capacity of the unit is calculated. The type of equipment chosen is related to the following facts:

- location, - operating mode, - water source, - the amount of upcoming consumption.

The average daily consumer displacement in a suburban economy has been established - it is 200-250 l / h, therefore, the power parameters should not be lower than the output level. The operating mode can be of two types: automatic or manual control. It is necessary to take into account the distance from the device to the final points of distribution, the farther the tap is located, the more power is needed for pumping through the water channels. The supply head must satisfy the flow rate in the home area and in the house.

It has been proven that for a family of 4 people, a device with an average power of 2-4 cubic meters / hour, with a 20-liter hydroaccumulator, and a pressure of 40-50 m is suitable. When choosing a station, always take into account the performance of the model and the characteristics of the main elements:

- pressure switch, - non-return valve, - hydraulic accumulator, - power supply, - pump.

Where to install the pumping station

The location depends on the intended use, for example, for year-round use, you need a caisson - an insulated pit with a deepening under the line of freezing of the ground. An easier way is installation under the house in the basement, where there will be no frost, and, in order to avoid noise and vibration, an interval from the walls and floor of the room is maintained. The summer version does not require special restrictions, the main thing is to reduce the distance to the place of water sampling and to minimize the length of the pipeline. It is important to ensure accessibility for possible repair work.

Installation work algorithm

First, a connection diagram is drawn up with the designation of the main equipment nodes. The installation of the station itself provides for a stable position. For this, a base is made of concrete (60 * 60 cm) with the introduction of concrete bolts (100 mm), equivalent to the seats of 30 mm of the thread remains on the surface. Fastening is carried out with anchors; in order to avoid weakening from vibration, it is better to use an engraving washer. If the unit is located under a house, it is recommended to use a rubber mat or foot pads to dampen vibration.

Winter water pipes are insulated and laid in trenches dug below the freezing point. It is advisable to withstand the slope to the place of water intake. Under the house, pipes pass through the walls to the places of use (kitchen, toilet, shower). They are also insulated from the ground to the floor from the effects of freezing temperatures. The pumping station is connected according to the instructions. Pipes are used with a diameter of 32 mm, it is more convenient to use metal-plastic pipes.

How to connect the station to the water supply system

Find the most convenient and closest connection point. Here, an insert is made into the system and a connection to the station tank, from which the supply to the unit will be carried out. A pipe is led from the pump to the delivery point. The electrical wiring is equipped, the pump is regulated, the optimum pressure specified in the operating documents is set. Usually for this on the models of stations under the cover there is a screw "P" or "DR". The shutdown rate is 2.5-3 bar.

For a test run, the station is filled with water (mains, accumulator, pump), valves are opened, electricity is turned on. The engine starts to work until it displaces all the air, thus, the pressure reaches a predetermined level, then the motor is turned off. Bottom line: the pumping station is installed correctly, operates in the specified mode.
