Who doesn't love a bathhouse, a home sauna? Moreover, in the autumn or winter period, when it is cold outside, but in your own summer cottage it is warm and cozy. The bath is useful for people of different ages, physical conditions. The main thing is to know the rules for safely visiting the bath, so that it really benefits the body. Here we will tell everyone how to properly take a steam bath or sauna to join the sauna culture
Rule 1. If today you decide to visit a summer cottage or sauna, you should at least on this day adhere to unloading in nutrition. The menu should contain only light dishes: salads without mayonnaise, berries, fruits, vegetables, herbal or green tea. Before visiting a melted bath for half an hour or an hour, eat a couple of garlic cloves with a slice of rye bread and salt. This technique will increase perspiration and the release of toxins through the skin.
Rule 2. The most optimal mode of visiting the bathhouse in the absence of chronic serious diseases and contraindications to its use is twice a week, one can be used. The ideal temperature in a steam bath should be no more than 75 degrees. The lower bar of the temperature regime is 60-65 degrees. At this temperature, the body warms up optimally and sweats well. The Russian bath usually heats up to this temperature, but the Finnish sauna can have a higher temperature. Therefore, calls into it, while in the bath, need to be made shorter and more frequent for successful steaming.
Rule 3. Do not enter the steam room wet. The skin should be dry so that the body does not waste time absorbing moisture from the surface of the body by its pores. It is better to lie in the bath horizontally. This distributes the heat more evenly throughout the body. Or you can sit, but tilt your head slightly so that it does not overheat.
Rule 4. We went into the bath - first, lie down on its very top shelf for literally three minutes, then move to a lower bench, where the temperature is lower, and sweat will begin to stand out more intensely here. It is good if the bath is equipped with a shower, a swimming pool, where you could rinse when leaving it. In any case, when leaving the bath after heating, douse the body with cool water.
Rule 5. Out of the steam room? Relax a little, dry your body with a towel. Then the entry into the steam room can be repeated. Don't get hot in the steam room. Since at the same time, the humidity in it is greatly overestimated, and sweat reduces secretion. But you can apply heat in order to saturate the air with aromatic oils, for example, fir, citrus, eucalyptus and others.
Rule 6. We made three or four visits to the steam room of our bath. Now apply a salt and baking soda scrub mixed in half onto your body. Go to the steam room and rinse off the mixture. On the fifth pass, apply honey diluted slightly with water to the body. Honey draws out toxins and excess fluid from the pores of the cleansed skin. But on the sixth and seventh visits, it would be good to take a steam bath with a broom made of birch or other tree branches. At the same time, you can pour a little infusion of these brooms on the stones in the bath. This is the final visit to the steam room. After it, you need to rinse with warm or cool water and finally leave the steam room to dry off in the dressing room.
Rule 7. When you leave the steam room again, you should drink herbal tea, water, mineral water, berry juice, green tea, kvass. At the end of the bath, it will be useful to drink freshly squeezed juices from fruits, herbs, vegetables. Alternatively, you can drink two cups of herbal infusion made from beneficial herbs such as thyme, oregano, mint, and others.
How to steam with a broom?
The best brooms for a bath are birch or oak. Although brooms made of linden, alder, fir, juniper, nettle and other plants have proven themselves quite well. Before use, they must be steamed in hot water poured into a wooden tub. Do not steam the brooms in boiling water, it will ruin them. They will lose their beneficial properties, and their leaves will quickly fall off. It will be enough just to rinse the young (new broom) with water and put it on the bath shelf for self-steaming.
You do not need to immediately lash yourself or the person you are hovering over the body with a broom. It should, as it were, inject the hot air of the bath to his body. The broom should work like a fan, barely touching the body, forcing air to it. First, make such movements with a broom on the legs and buttocks, then move on to the back and arms. That is, the person being steamed should feel the hot wind of the bathhouse that dwells around his body. After such injection of air to the body several times, you can slowly begin to lash the body with a broom. At the end of the procedure, rub the body with a broom, like a washcloth.
