Universal can be applied anywhere, it can withstand 12, 5 tons / m2. With a frame, it is used for paths, it carries a load of 1.5 t / m2. The reinforced profile of a rigid polymer grille with thicker and smaller cells is chosen for parking, such a material withstands 25 tons / m2.
For ease of use, you can purchase rolls, squares (40 * 40 cm, 33 * 33, 50 * 50), as well as corner elements and framing. You can choose from diamonds, rectangles and honeycombs. Definitely - the height of the profile increases strength and increases the ability to resist weight (10; 18; 35 cm). In any case, practice shows that a rigid polymer will be flawless in use for 10-15 years, and cheap PVC products lend themselves to deformation and are not designed for high loads.
Lawn grating technology
Based on the height of the acquired coating, you need to prepare the ground. On the intended site, we select the soil according to the parameters of the lattice plus 5 centimeters for backfill. Usually it is 25-30 cm. To increase the strength, the bottom can be laid out with geotextiles.
In the parking lot, it is advisable to make a thin drainage from rubble (3-4 cm) and sand (2-4) and tamp it. The lattice is laid with its wide side on the base, and fastened with type-setting elements. For better fixation, experts recommend backfilling with a mixture of soil and gravel (1: 1). For a lawn, stones should not take up much space and be no more than 1/3.
Backfilling of the cells is done so that the upper part of the level remains open by 2 cm. If the ground is leveled over the surface of the coating, then dirt is inevitable in the future, when watering, the washing of seeds from the "holes" and erosion of root growths. Before sowing the grass, it is better to immediately apply the appropriate fertilization. Seeds should not be spared when planting, since germination is not guaranteed for each seed - this will help to avoid bald spots when rising.
Monitor soil moisture. After the appearance of the green mass, to form the density of the turf, carry out the first haircut carefully. The grill does not affect the growth of the lawn, further maintenance takes place as usual. In a couple of months, you will get a full-fledged lawn, and the reinforcing properties of the root system will appear - you can walk. Maximum use with a car is only permissible for the next season.
Fast styling. Step paths
There is a simplified option that summer residents prefer - this is laying the lattice on the finished lawn. If you are not going to ride on the lawn by car, scooter - this method is quite acceptable. After planting the grass and after the first mowing, lay out a protective covering in those places where increased activity is expected: swings, pool edging, areas with sun loungers, tables, barbecue, etc.
Walk along the laid lattice, trying to deepen it to the level of the horizon. You can do without such an action, since the growing grass will close the mesh, and it will be invisible. You can use the trimmer or lawnmower as usual.
It is not necessary to cover the entire area with a grill. If through the lawn there should be a passage to the flower garden, bathhouse, greenhouse, then you can not lay out a monolithic structure of concrete tiles. Make auxiliary paths with plastic mesh. For the base, a grid with a frame and in the form of squares is suitable. Both installation methods can be used for styling. The result will be beautiful and practical.
