To obtain a healthy seedling, you need to maintain a watering balance. It is important to know that peppers do not like dry air, therefore, with this phenomenon, it is recommended to place containers with water next to the seedlings, use humidifiers or carry out gentle spraying.

If we consider all stages of development, then after sowing, watering can be carried out in the form of irrigation from a spray bottle in 2-3 days. When covered with polyethylene, watering before germination is almost never done. With the appearance of sprouts, they switch to regular irrigation. In a dry room, they are held daily.
The appearance of the second true leaf indicates the second phase of development and watering becomes more rare, but abundant. Picking also makes its own adjustments. The seedlings have an individual place with a certain volume. The irrigation scheme changes up to once a week. Of course, this is an approximate calculation, since a small container will not be able to hold a lot of moisture, which means that the intervals will need to be shortened.
In any case, you will need a watering can with a thin spout. Many people make the attachment on their own - the tip of the watering can is extended with a plastic tube. This lengthens the spout and makes it possible to reach each plant, water in small portions, without eroding the soil. For the outflow of excess, it is better to keep containers with seedlings in trays, into which excess moisture will drain.
Rules for watering pepper seedlings
The growing tank has a limited volume, so the watering is aimed at moisturizing the entire clod of earth well. The dose should be commensurate with the volume and calculated so that all available soil is evenly moistened. For high-quality blotting, it is recommended to divide the watering into two steps.
First, a small portion is poured under each plant. After five minutes of absorption, you can give a second, final dose, which will be enough to completely wet the entire volume. It is advisable that the water does not fall on the leaves.
It is impossible to name the exact amount of water needed for each seedling, this is influenced by the amount of land and the age of the seedlings. As it grows, the dose of water increases significantly, since the grown plant grows green mass and it needs more moisture in comparison with the beginning. The frequency of watering is also calculated individually and is carried out in the event that the ground has become almost dry to the touch. It is important to avoid drought, leading to wilting of the leaves.
The container is equipped with holes to drain the excess. Small watering is undesirable, since only the top layer will get wet and the roots will not have enough "drink". After the top layer has dried, it is necessary to loosen the surface. The event is carried out carefully so as not to disturb the superficial roots.

Some gardeners prefer to use melt water for irrigation. For this purpose, it is frozen in bottles. In any case, if a city water supply with chlorinated water is used, it is required to stand in a jar without a lid for at least a day. The "health" of the seedlings depends on the water temperature; it should not be lower than room temperature. Cold leads to the development of diseases and decay of the roots.
