We save lilies from rot and powdery mildew

In the fight against them, fungicidal agents help. You may not find a fungicide on the market specifically designed for lilies. But it doesn't matter. Also suitable are preparations that are used for spraying roses, and in extreme cases, those that are intended for processing tomatoes, cucumbers or potatoes.

Spraying must be carried out adhering to the following rules:

• process plants by leaves;

• carry out the procedure in cloudy weather.

Advice. If cloudy weather is not expected for a long time, and the plant suffers from a disease, then spray it at least in the evening hours, when the sun is not beaming.

And of course, you need to understand that if you rarely appear at your dacha, and the disease has already reached such a stage that the stalk has completely turned yellow or turned brown, then most likely no spraying will be able to save it. Then the infected upper part must be cut off and destroyed without regret. In this case, there is still a chance to save the bulb hidden in the ground. While the plant is blooming

If lilies bloom luxuriantly and for a long time, carry several buds on one stem, they need feeding. Especially when the soil on your site is light and poor, you cannot do without fertilizers. Indeed, in order to ensure flowering, the bulb gives up its own nutrients, and will not be able to properly prepare for the dormant period in order to please again with fragrant flowers next year.

So don't forget to feed your flower bed. For lilies, both mineral and organic fertilizers are suitable. Mullein, fresh, not rotted manure is not used. An excellent remedy is herbal infusion. It is always useful to keep such a top dressing in the country in a barrel at hand.

But you should not rush to cut the stems with leaves. Nutrients from the leaf apparatus must pass into the bulb. To do this, you need to wait at least one to two weeks.

Many flower growers are concerned about the question of when to plant or transplant lilies. It is not difficult to choose the optimal time, you need to be guided by the weather.
