Basic rules for growing zucchini

All varieties are propagated exclusively by seeds, planted in the ground or by seedling. The plant is thermophilic, therefore, when planting, possible frosts should be excluded. In temperate climates, they are sown directly to the garden; in cold regions, it is preferable to use seedlings.

Seeds are sown dry or germinated (2-3 days for hatching). If seedlings are planned, then it will take 3-4 weeks - sowing in the last days of April. The interval when planting zucchini must be made sufficient: 70 cm. If you plant in two rows, then the row spacing is maintained at 60 cm.

Zucchini grow well in a sunny place with little shade. They prefer light, neutral soil. The best predecessors in the garden are herbs, legumes, root vegetables, cabbage, onions, potatoes. Not recommended to plant after pumpkin.

In the middle lane, the planting date for seedlings is chosen at the end of May, and is extended until the first decade of June. When sowing seeds in the ground, you can use the period from 8 to 15 May, provided that the beds are completely covered with film. After germination, it is recommended to set arcs and not remove the shelter until early June. Experienced vegetable growers recommend planting during the flowering period of the dandelion (folk omen).

To obtain an early harvest, the following varieties are chosen: Tsukesha, Kaund, Aeronaut, Souvenir, Zebra, Gorny, Razbeg, Tsuboda.
