This plant differs from the spotted hemlock by the complete absence of wrappers, although each umbrella still has small wrappers containing 8 to 12 leaves. Flowering of this perennial is observed in the second half of summer, mainly in July-August.
The fruits of this dangerous representative of the flora are small enough and consist of two brownish hemispherical achenes. Outside of each of them, you can see five longitudinal and wide ribs. And the inner sides of these bizarre achenes are lighter in color, they are flatter and facing each other, and also have a dark wide stripe in the middle.
