Indoor plants for a florist take a special place in the house. Among them, there are a large number of specimens with a succulent-type stem. Among the people, it acquired the name "bottle" because of its appearance. Nevertheless, in general, only one interesting plant is called the "bottle tree" - the unique brachychiton

External signs

With his appearance, he can bewitch any person. It really looks like the container of a small bottle. From this form, bunches of branches, covered with carved foliage, grow. Australia is considered the homeland of the plant, but it is very difficult to compare wild and domestic crops, since they are very different from each other. Among the advantages of brachychiton, it is worth highlighting its endurance and lack of whims in care. It also requires very few conditions for growing, but the beauty of its greenery rightfully deserves the maximum attention of modern florists. Exotic culture will effectively and beautifully decorate the interior in any home.

The appearance of the brachychiton looks very original and charming in the room. It goes well and harmonizes not only with any interior style, but also with other indoor cultures. A miniature plant becomes a real miracle that does not require formation, but initially has a beautiful bottle silhouette. The compact and attractive brachychiton is currently the favorite plant of many flower growers. Unknowing gardeners and summer residents often confuse it with other cultures (it is very similar to jatropha). But in fact, brachychiton has a lot of individual characteristics that distinguish it from other bottle-shaped plants.

This plant belongs to the Sterkuliev family. The trunk of the brachychiton resembles a bottle in its shape. Moisture is stored in its lower part, and the trunk itself has a dense and smooth bark. The root system does not fully grow inward. Some of it remains in the ground zone, also adding to the attractiveness of the plant. With the artificial formation of a plant, it is possible to obtain a variety of its forms and appearance.

How to care for a plant?

Brachychitons have an attractive appearance and exotic shapes of the trunk and leaves. For me, it is not very difficult for me to care for such a culture. This houseplant gradually adapts at the planting site. The owner of the flower should take care of his pet and help provide conditions for a warm winter. During the rest of the year, cool air is more comfortable for brachychiton. Watering and feeding brachychiton is necessary in the same way as other indoor crops grown at home. The culture is transplanted at the moment when it assimilates the necessary mixture of the substrate completely.

Also, drought is not terrible for brachychiton. The most difficult thing in caring for a brachychiton is to provide it with access to fresh air. The room where the culture grows must be ventilated regularly and very often. Both experienced and novice flower growers are equally sensitive to such an original exotic flower. The plant propagates very simply. Therefore, the grower can easily get new plants from cuttings that will remain after pruning, which is carried out every year.

Lighting

Brachychitons in nature are very accustomed to the bright and constant sun. Therefore, in indoor cultivation, a lot of light must be provided for the culture. At the same time, when looking for a place, you need to find not only the lightest zone, but also the area in which direct rays will fall on the leaves and stem of the flower. You can also train your plant to use a certain type of light. Therefore, if the brachychiton was accustomed to diffused light, then burns may appear due to direct sunlight on the leaves.

In order to understand exactly where a particular flower will feel comfortable, you need to observe how the leaves on the south side of the window manifest themselves. It is most correct to place brachychiton on loggias and balconies, since it prefers natural rather than artificial light. Penumbra and shade are unacceptable conditions for a flower. In this case, the brachychiton will change the color of the leaves, giving the owner a "distress" signal.

Air temperature

In summer, brachychiton prefers to exist in temperatures from twenty-five degrees Celsius. In winter, the optimal indicators will be the boundaries of ten to sixteen degrees above zero.
